Hi everyone, I'm new here and what I came here for is to learn about website and domain flipping. Any good tips?
And what is the basics of website and domain flipping? What are the things I need to know?
And is $40 enough to start this kind of business?

@GoldenWarrior Thanks for the great response sir! :)

@blogzandstuff Yes, I've tried that, but i find it time consuming to search all of those. I find that those content are just the same.Heh. But if that's the best advice then maybe I'll just do it.

@SkyrocketSEO Thanks for making it easier to understand. :) Appreciate it! What are the basics of selling domains? Should I drive more traffic to it first before selling or after buying it I could already sell it to anyone?

The thing is, you need to know who your potential clients are. There are people buying SEO domains, people buying traffic domains, people buying numeric domains, people buying domains that earn some money, people buying domains that earn more than $100/$1000....Once you have some of these in your hands you need to know where these types of buyers hang around (forums, flippa, brokers...)

    Its huge industry

@SkyrocketSEO so there are different "types" of domains? How would I know the "type" of domains? And can you please teach me about how to price them?

Thanks for this info. I've had a domain idea for awhile and was wondering what kind of unique spin I could put on it to make it worthwhile. After reading this post, I realized there is a specific niche I can market the idea to, and now my brain is skyrocketing with ideas!

You can build sites on them or you can sell them...

I am puzzled how you have ''huge portfolio of domains'' and you don't know what to do with them...

Well, obviously, I know what to do with them. I've made sites for some of them, but it's too time consuming to be profitable, so I think just selling the domains would be best. I'm trying to figure out how to maximize my investment is all. I've seen SkyrocketSEO flipping domains for a pretty penny and I was trying to solicit some tips from a seasoned pro.

I am not a seasoned pro though, but it really depends what you got there. One man's trash is another man's treasure and vice versa

I would start a BST thread. You are already Jr VIP. A BST thread is only $30. I would take one good one from your portfolio, describe it without telling what it is, and see what kind of response you get.

If it doesn't sell well here, try Flippa and see what the response is over there.

You could also try the NamePros forum, but I think everyone over there is a noob.

There are lots of places really.

I mean, I've seen you flipping domains on here for a while. I'm sure you've got quite a bit more experience than most.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot. I'm also torn because I have some with pretty high scores that I don't want to part with, but I know that I won't be doing anything with them anytime soon, so I should probably just flip em while I can. I'm also thinking about using this one that has a high DA and contains the word "domains" and just post them all there and see what happens too.

I have noticed quite a few millionaires there, to be honest. Not fake guru type millionaires, real ones.

If you have some that you really want to keep, then I would keep them. Even if you aren't using them right now. I am kicking myself over a domain I bought and sold last year on Flippa and now I would like it back to build a brand with. The new owner is not using it, but I don't want to ask for it back because I know he may charge a premium for it. It's already been a year last month and it auto renewed. So he has it for another year. Which is fine. I am not in need of it at this very moment, but I still.

Really? Well there you go OP. I would head over to NamePros to see who might be interested.

Yeah, I feel ya on that. I'm going to try and sell one of mine which has a 10+ DA and 16 PA with a bunch of great backlinks. It has backlinks from a bunch of really high (40+ authority) sites as well, all relating to the internet marketing niche. I could really use this one, so I'm not desperate to sell it, which is why I'm going to price it at like $1200. Do you think I should do it?

These type of metrics (DA 10-ish) usually go for $5-$10 on BHW
