This Google Update Shows How Dumb Cutt's Spam Engineer and

"Don't be evil" WAS the informal corporate motto (or slogan) of Google

I have to agree with OP. A lot of EMDs with good content have been hit while they said they would only focus on the ones with poor content. Besides, what does it matter if you have an EMD, partial EMD or any other domain. Having an EMD didn't do much anyway in terms of SEO lately.

And for all those people saying "move on and don't cry".. seriously? Let this guy spit out his frustrations. He probably lost some income so who wouldn't be angry.

1. As Cutt's twitter related to EMD and quality content...
"New exact-match domain (EMD) algo affects 0.6% of English-US queries to a noticeable degree. Unrelated to Panda/Penguin."

- EMD is people's right ! Not fuckin' G!!!
- For quality content...Of course, definitely agreed!
I'm sure their Phd's can find bad quality of content, BUT, DON'T EVER NEVER HIGHLIGHT EMD !!!
It's not their RIGHT!!! Fuckin' Nazi..

2. Cutt's pointing "3 hours left to donate to the Internet 2012 Bus Tour: goo[.]gl/N7blM" in his twitter.

- Does he 'want' us to 'support' them??
Of course, he want it. 'Freedom internet' means MORE MONEY for their pocket.
BUT, I see reddit contributed immensely to support 'internet freedom', where is G ?!? ..So sneaky you Cunt...

I think all governments should order all internet provider to banned all access to google.
It is not search engine. There is NO SEARCH RESULTS but ADVERTISING. Up-Down-Right.

Matt ...the most moron person in this world.

Best way you can protest against Google is stop using them. I myself have started using other search engines to do my searches. Changed my home page. Yea of course I still need to rank on their site and use adsense but I have slowly started to cut them out. I meet a lot of people who need my help with general pc questions and Im starting to offer other sources instead of Google.

They are losing customers... even if it is one by one.

I understand how the Op feel

He have the right to be mad

I know it sucks guys. Hell, I have a vault of EMD domains that I had yet to develop at all (time issues) but now, well, I guess I'll just sit on them a bit longer.

The fact is that Google is interested in Brands. You are a brand, but are you cultivating your brand? A site that is branded (even if only named after a person) and offers quality, original posts on Macs and iPhones will be building up a brand known as an expert on Apple Tech. This site will (and honestly, should) outshine a blog with a weekly post or two of merit, even if the blog is named CheapCellPhone.***

That first site, the brand, has the potential to grow into something larger that will have employees, perhaps form a start-up and go on to be amazing. Or maybe it will just tank, but it's in Google's best interest to cultivate the type of site owners and industry that have the best long-term chance of survival/provide Google with more revenue. At least, that what I think of when I imagine how Google sees the EMD issue.

(They see it as "our site, our business" and they're correct of course)

The blog on the cell phone EMD will be a blog that will eventually be dropped, especially now after the Google EMD Update. I personally purchased services that the EMD was a big part of the reason I bought the sites. I sold several of them, but now I have some that (like all of our EMD sites) can be salvaged but only with massive overhaul of existing content with the addition of gobs of original valuable high-quality content. And the content must be HUMAN-centered (instead of Search Engine-centered).

I have become a bit of a brand evangelist it seems, but I'm just offering the suggestion. I'm right there with you though. I recently wrote an article that's doing pretty well about some things you can do to fight off Google Updates. I will post them in a thread of their own, and I hope you'll participate in adding your thoughts/experiences.

But remember: brand yourself, cultivate your relationship with Google if you can stand it. If not, no one with blame you.

if you don't agree with google's terms of service, then don't use it. it's as simple as that.

there's other search engines available for you to try to rank on.

try baidu...

The best motto for this is "if you can't beat them, join them"! Google is monopolizing the internet as we speak. There's not much you can do with it. But as internet users we are still allowed to use their services. EMD is dead but Google did that to eliminate manipulation of the ranks. So what are we to do? USE WHATEVER SERVICES THEY HAVE AGAINST THEM. Right, they can stomp us, grind us to the ground, but we bounce back. Let's SPAM the hell of out of whatever Google owns. Then when time comes that people are not using EMD anymore, Google will put value back to EMD thinking that people might have forgotten about them. Then we can use it again like crazy.

What i've learned these past months is whatever you do to help rank your websites and make money, Google will eventually ruin your efforts.. it's just a matter of time.

@ eterxx: The firm I work for just took control of 97/100 of the top 10 pages of SERP results including the entire first page for one of our reputation management clients... I don't wanna keep hearing this SEO is dead crap. Our firm's been doing SEO for 7 years no problem regardless of all updates... All you guys who say that "SEO is dead" simply don't know what you're doing. END OF STORY.

Most of you have 1 method you think is the greatest thing in the world and instead of continually innovating you use your one method until it stops working and then proclaim SEO is dead and the world is ending. Enough of this crap already...
