The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

I think just Settle Down and realize that any Penalty you attracted can't be solved in just 1 day - it would take a little work.

Perhaps Provide Us With More Information :

* How Old Is The Site ?
* How Many Articles Are on The Site ?
* You Know New Sites Move Up and Down - How Did You Figure You Got A Penalty ?
* Did You Do Any Seo ?
* What Sort of Keyword Is It ? A Large Broad General Term - or a Specific Narrow Niche Term -- and is your Site Niche or Authority ?

That should let us know what we are dealing with.

As far as my JR VIP thing goes - as is the case all over the Forum - just always remember to do your own due diligence dealing with members - especially if someone PM's you... who you don't know.

Normally if anything sounds too good too be true ... it probably is.

If you've read the 29 pages of this Thread - then you know for sure - that Amazon is not a get rich quick scheme .... its work.

All the best today and hope you guys get some nice Sales .. cheers for now.

Congratulation Danny1111 for turning Blue :D
I have been following this thread for months now, set up a few sites, got it wrong, set up another and still got it wrong.
so i relax and read through all of the thread again, met a great guy here who PIMP one of my amazon site and i just made my First ever amazon sale!

amaz earnings.jpg

For now, am focus only on 3 websites, i will build them up until they are all ranking for their respective keywords and earning consistently and then i will expand.

thank you danny1111. you are my AMAZON Hero! and i believe soon enough i will come with a better looking screenshot of my earnings.
Shout out to johnnyd77, for his help!

Tks for your attention.
1. I launched the site at 4/24/2013.
2. It has 11 articles so far ( product guide + review)
3. When I searched for my site "brand" name:xxxxxx - (without quotes) in Google, my site was not on the first couple of pages.
4. Yes, I did Seo, included web2.0, Q&A, blog comments, press releases, squidoo lens, slideshare. But in the webmaster tools, there are total 80 links.
5. It's a specific narrow niche about men's health. I don't understand about the last question: "is your Site Niche or Authority ?"

Updated: I checked it few minutes ago, I found the main keyword dropped out the first 400. The page ranking at position 67 was not my homepage, but a subpage. My heart sank, should I recover 100% of its rankings?

Ok great seems you have done everything right except for choosing the keyword.

You really should not be trying to rank for : Netgear C500 Wireless router Model 456778

because every Ecommerce Site - Every Major review Site will most likely outrank you due to their age and/or authority.

Targeting brand name reviews is fine as a longer term project but not something your going to win in the short term. You need to find other buyer keywords - that you can rank for and target those instead.

I'm actually quite confused by Amazon policy. However if you read the article in the link I provided above, they did get response from Amazon rep, and it was clearly stated that masking/cloaking is allowed as long as the customers know that they are going to Amazon, hence the suggestion to label the link with Amazon. Some prefer to use the cloaked link as they believe Google doesn't like affiliate link. I spoke to many SEO guys that I trust and they have the same opinion. With that said, if you still have results you wanted with nofollowed amazon text link then it's all good :)

@whitepassion I'm not sure why your friend got banned, maybe it will be clearer when he managed to get response from Amazon, do keep us update on the situation.

Your on Fire Danny! I have been following this thread from the start. Congratulation on your success.
You seriously Motivate me . and made me realize I need to be smarter choosing the keywords for my amazon sites, that and get more and better content. Great thread. Thank you.

This is a complex issue because alot of people are not using websites to drive their traffic through - they are spamming various links through redirects and ways to hide the traffic.

So to me it seems simple Traffic Source - Website / Amazon Link --> Amazon

You try to mess with the accepted process then you run the risk of trouble.

Now you add in the Seo People who want to mask/hide/alter links from Google because of rankings/review issues then you have a whole set of other issues ..... from what I saw on the Amazon Board people always get quoted the same passage in TOS .. and no matter what the explanation it doesn't apply to their particular case - its just a broad answer ... most likely to hide how they are identifying the people they are banning.

For the average website owner none of this is an issue .. for the more advanced marketer then you have to obviously be more careful how you operate your business.

I totally agree with this.

As long as Amazon can clearly see where the traffic/clicks coming from and you are not spamming all over the web through redirect and framing then it's fine. I'm just saying people use plugin like Pretty Link is to gain better trust with Google, that's all. And I don't see any reason you shouldn't do that if you are not doing something hanky panky

90 Day Moz - Free Trial - Requires Credit Card and They Preauthorize $1 to Make Sure Its Active Card

http://moz.com/partners/rewardli

you can track your keywords etc ... I just signed up for the trial myself

i have 2 questions
1- what average sales for keyword model ex ( toshiba 23bc4 ) which have 1500 exact searches per month , when every factor for the product are good ( good number of reviews above 100 , have good rate above 4.5 , and the there are alot of reviews on the amazon page on the last month )

2- if i have keyword for product about 1000$ , 1900 searches /month and have alot of reviews and good rating ,what your think about how many sales can i have if i rank #1

I ordered a product from Amazon must be 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped - and I bought some Laptop memory 6 days ago and it hasn't shipped either ... both of them in my account show shipping times from 14-28 days longer

So yeah they are having Product or Shipping Issues on some products at the moment (the other product I ordered was a hard-drive)

Youtube - I'd suggest links to your Site and generate a Sale from there.

I can't answer your Sales Questions - depends on how good a site you make // how good your content is and just because that's the traffic estimate doesn't mean it is correct in terms of actual buyers... you won't know for 2-3 months how active the traffic is.

Well mate, Kudos for taking action.

You should not be scared of outsourcing or JV with someone that has the skills that you dont have. And I'm not talking about SEO in particular, it could be user experience, design, content, conversion, ect. It could be anything. If that could leverage your business, I dont see why you should not do it.

I'd rather have a small part ofsomething big, than a HUGE part of nothing.

Cheers,

JD77

Do you think its possible to make a clickbank success thread as well Danny1111. I've seen 20 pager clickbank review sites made it $1000/month
could be worth a shot.
