Dear forum participants, hello everyone! I am turning to you for help, as well as to tell you about a possible scam involving the sale of NFT usernames through Fragment.

Not long ago, I started noticing cool usernames on Fragment and investing in them. I had already made several purchases of different nicknames, but this was the first time I had encountered such a situation! One evening in late September, I was surfing Fragment... I noticed a nice nickname and placed a bid on it in the auction, without thinking much of it. A week passed, I won the auction, and this was already the second username I had purchased for the account I wanted to use it on.
Next, after winning the auction, I go to check my wallet to see if this NFT username has been transferred to me. Everything is fine, I can see it in my wallet, just like my first username. I go to my profile, click on the tab to change usernames, and realize that the username I purchased is simply not displayed; only one (which was purchased earlier) is displayed. I go back to the fragment to “activate” the second username. And I see that the fragment offers me only one option - to set the last purchased username only for the channel (and not for personal use - profile). At the same time, after going through the entire chain from the fragment, I still cannot add my purchased username (it simply does not display).

After thinking about why this might be, I decide to check this username in the Telegram search and see that the username I purchased is already hanging on some public Telegram channel, meaning that the link to my NFT username is already taken by the channel (of course, this channel does NOT belong to me and I don't know who the owner is).

Am I correct in understanding that I cannot add this purchased username to my profile because it is already taken by some channel? Perhaps I am inexperienced and there is some kind of delay, after which my username will disappear from the channel?
If not, how can I find the owner of this public channel that has my username, and how can I contact them to have them change my username? Is it a bug that this user did not disappear from his channel? So, if I understand correctly, it is possible to scam someone by taking over their user, selling it, and leaving the person with nothing, because they cannot be added at all, or they can be added, but only to the channel.

I repeat: Both NFT usernames are displayed on my fragment, and are also displayed in my wallet. But Telegram doesn't seem to see the last username I bought (my guess is that it won't let me set it because this username is already listed on some channel, so I can't set it (neither on a channel, nor on my profile, nor anywhere)).

Off topic: Never buy usernames on Fragment that are already listed on some channels, rather than on a full profile. Check and verify this before purchasing.

I would be grateful for clarification, as I may be mistaken about something. Thank you in advance for your help and assistance!
How can I message the owner of my NFT-username, if I have a smart-contract with him?
