I wouldn't try 5k personally. You can get results with way less than that.

If you use Jarvee, ask to view stories of people who meet this requirements :

- User who interacted with a recent post of your competitor : you only want active and targeted people, right ?
- 0 - 250 followers : because the more followers they have, the less likely they are to notice your view
- 0 - 800 following : because you don't want to earn a follower who never sees your posts
- User has a follow ratio (followers/following) smaller than 0.85 : because if he has less following than followers, he is less likely to follow you

I ensure you that you'll get better results with this kind of setting than just viewing thousands and thousands of stories of random people.
