Sure, you could do this with many Russian/Chinese hosts, but good luck finding legitimate European/US hosts you can drop so much as a Blog comment with.

Setting up a proxy server IS simple. That has never been the problem.

this pops up every so often on BHW where there is "no way" that a certain business should be happening but proxy providers for example are a dime a dozen. so either there are legal loopholes that no one is talking about, lax providers/wholesalers, or no one really gives a shit and the naysayers are either protecting their niche or simply concern trolling because they operate under a different risk profile.

other examples include offering hosting/vps/servers as a service to clients/public, social signals, porn/movie upload methods, fake news, spam that's not called spam.....well, a good chunk of the activities discussed on this website "shouldnt" be happening.

so, how do we have proxy providers and how do they last longer than 14 days without being buried in legal action? I am honestly asking.

Mostly by being located in countries that do not pursue legal action against them, and/or by renting large subnets under false/throw-away LLCS (This strategy is legal, but requires significant capital).

I looked into this very heavily a few years ago and shelved the idea for just these reasons.

Go rent some proxies from any of the big vendors, and dig into who they are actually registered to - Either its going to be a compromised network, OR a business that is less than 3-4 months old.

If i wanted to make my own proxies for personal use could i just rent/lease address space from an IP marketplace? What would be the process for this since i would also have to get the routes to those IP's advertised
