Digg have just made some massive changes.

You can only sign into Digg using facebook -

Previous digg links are not working -

The whole site has had a makeover and the categories are not working -

it's not dead, but it has been seriously modified, so it's not as interesting as before

yes yes yes. omg. had a few seo properties there. sighs. haha just gotta look towards other 2.0s i guess.

They will be back - its sold for loads but I dont think the removal of all the categories and links was the best way to go

Is Digg still in a state of flux?

Of, have they sorted thing out?

Anybody got a clear read on Digg after the changes?

I just signed in with facebook - submitted a link and I aint got a clue where it is - For now it seems to be dead.

Only time will tell

Yup... nothing showing up after submitting a link. Just a "thanks" message.

Thanks for your inputs...

Although its too early to tell, it looks like major changes is ahead for Diggs.

I'll be monitoring this myself...

Yup - Kind of a bummer really - I had a few tools that used Digg - :-(

When digg was "hot" people would often rave about the million plus hits they got when a story exploded however this kind of traffic was always reserved for human interest articles or something political. In hopes that one of my articles might get featured on digg I kept the social link around and would randomly post stores to digg to see if they got any traction.

A new team has bought digg for a dead cheap rate. They are working on a new concept altogether starting from scratch, and not all submitted links will be published. we got to wait and see how this new platform evolves, for now use SU, good for both traffic and seo..

No matter how hard they try they are not going wooo back old users which left after digg2.0
The new looks like a wordpress blog.

I never did like digg, I tried it last year for one of my sites, and I never got any traffic from it. I prefer Reddit a million times over digg.

If you log in by using FB,your submitted stories show up on facebook. If current situation remains,Digg is almost useless for SEO.

Dig is dead, ever since Kevin Rose left. Its all about Reddit now

Digg was sold for 500k? Oh my.. Google had offered them 200 million 4 years ago. :D
