In my personal opinion your thumbnails are not eye-catching. Perhaps that's why CTR is low.

I learned Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, and then set everything up and started practicing. It was more like a mental health activity, which will now be my full time job.

I think ad revenue would be sufficient for me, or maybe some merch in future if I get that popular. Patreon too? I have setup everything, including twitch, to use later.

That is hard shit you went trough! Great to hear you did emerge from there. I am sure keeping you busy will help you maintain yourself out of trouble. Altough ... you will be working a lot, it is good to have some money out of that hard work.

Don't trust Ad Revenue, unless you have thousands and thousands of US (or high CPM countries) audience, you won't receive much ad revenue. Consider other monetizations options: superchats, selling courses, affiliate offers, etc so you have an "income bridge" until you reach enough ad revenue to just live on that. Also: be warned! If you loose your YT channel or AdSense account for any reason, then you will go from X montlhy money to 0 monthly money. If you have different monetization pillars you won't get hurt as much.

Also, start building your mailing list from day 1. In one year you will be happy.

I do not have ANY experience with Patreon, but it seems to work well in some niches and countries, doesn't seem an option for everyone. Do some research on the competition to have a better idea on what to expect about Patreon.

What about his accent LOL. I see people get scared to do YouTube videos if they don’t have American or British accent. I’m surprised that the OP is very confidant with his voice and accent. This should be a lesson for others to get over that fear and get going. You will have have people critique you for anything, but your confidence, passion and knowledge will shine.

I love it, wish I could sound like a computer voice because his sound similar.

Traversy is a powerhouse, he produces courses like crazy quick and maintains the quality too. I will move to projects once I am done with the basics, and that's when I will follow your advise Thanks a ton for taking the time out! <3

I have not tried promoting my channel anywhere except for the official accounts created for the channel. I am not aware of the posting etiquette on reddit, I believe they consider self promotion as spamming? I will however look at these sub reddits and make occasional posts! Thanks a ton! <3

Haha, although I am from India, I do converse with most people in English, unless they aren't comfortable with it. My tone in videos is robotic, and I am hoping to get my natural tone on record once I get habituated to facing the camera lmao

Many guys are comfortable facing camera as if they were born for it. It's different for me. I struggle. One of the reasons I started this venture was to overcome such fears and limitations

That being said, If you seriously like the robotic tone, I'd be more than happy to work with you

I will work on building a mailing list as soon as I get a website up. As of now I am using github pages to host the readme file as a website lol

I totally understand that I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, and I will open the doors for donations/super chats or pay whatever you want or take it for free kinda courses. That way, those who are willing to contribute will contribute, while others who want freebies wont complain either.

I have patreon page setup, did not seem to be an issue. I will register my channel as a legal entity and use it wherever necessary to stay in line with financial regulations.

hahaha, the pops and the shhhhs are very annoying, and specially the ts, I don't sound like that when I talk, but somehow, while I am recording, I become very very robotic and conscious about the fact that this is gonna be seen by people and I'm gonna be judged. lmao

It is one reason I never faced the camera in my life. It is also the reason I decided to face my fears and overcome them <3

I am undergoing medication for anxiety, and trust me, I was in a terrible place a couple of months before I recorded my first video.

Those who have heard my voice notes on whatsapp, know that this is a huge improvement compared to how I sound on voice notes lmao

And yes, the point about confidence, it's all in our heard, once we decide that we can do something, 90% of the job is done.

Now the remaining 10% will be done with experience. <3
