Hello, I found this website www.000webhost.com and they offer free web hosting, but that seems all. I read that they aren't registrators of domain names and you have to "just" link your nameservers. What does this mean then?

Does that mean that I will have domain registered at for example godaddy - only .com domain, nothing more and I'll link nameservers to 000webhost, they will host my website for $0?

So practicly If I found $0 registration fee somewhere, created domain www.ccccc.com and then got their fairly good $0 hosting, Ill get whole website free??

If you could, please kindly explain this to me.
Thank you!

Yes, if you get somewhere a $0 domain, the hosting will be free with 000webhost's free hosting (they have a paid plan too). However it has limitations, they will temporarily suspend your site, if it reaches a certain amount of traffic, which is somewhere between 500 and 1k UVs/day, at least that's what i experienced when i used them back then.

There are other free webhosts like freehostia, check out a few and see which fits your needs the best.

If you call it fairly good $0 hosting then you haven't tried them. One of the crappiest I have used. You can forget about using Wordpress with them since you get all sort problems. Plus they put popups times to time too. and there are plenty of more restrictions.

If you are using a web site with several static web pages and receive only several dozen UVs per month and don't mind a random popup here and there then it will be a good hosting company.

I would not recommend 000webhost. They got hacked a while ago and had all their passwords stored in plain text. If you have ever used 000webhost I suggest you to check if your accounts associated to your email has been hacked here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/

It may be a good host for you to get your feet wet in the industry.

Sure, it is low end hosting if it is going to be free, it will have ads here and there, the support will not be as it would be with a paid host but the price is free.

Figure that if you are learning the industry and want to do it on the cheap, which is perfectly fine, this may be a decent alternative for you.

But as @HoNeYBiRD suggested, look at some of the alternatives as well. I can't offer any names of those alternatives as I have a vested interest in that market but if you look around here on BHW you'll see a bunch to examine.

don't ever think to use 000webhost.com their servers always get hacked, worst security ever.

Just to let you guys know that recently we was informed from 000webhost that they was hacked and lot of personal informations leaked .

Well .. you get what you pay :)

The other type of horror stories about free hosts (not necessarily this one) I've seen people share is that they might decide to take over your site when it starts to get some traction especially with hosts that provide free hosting + domain. It's written in their TOS that you agree they can do that.

i've question When i log in, on the status it says: Account verification in progress, check again in 24 hours, But when i check my email, nothing is there -_-, and i have been checking for over 4 days now
