I would not invest into Tesla right now, unless you want to invest and forget about it for 20 years.
There are a ton of manufacturing errors with Tesla. There's a reason why over 100k cars got recalled. They wanted to meet a goal and then did... with the expense of quality.
Besides the above reason, it's a gigantic company, meaning there's a lot less room for growth meaning a lot less money you can make. It's almost at a trillion dollar market cap.
Take for example NIO. I invested into NIO when it was $15. It's currently trading ~$60. I made 4x my money in less than a year. Granted, I only put in 20k but this kind of growth is much more appropriate for a younger (30) guy like me. I don't want to be old and rich... I want to be young and rich.
My point is that there are better investments out there than Tesla but if you feel like you want to invest and forget about it for a while, its definitely an option.
