Right the situation I am in the moment is that I have a site that has been running for about 3 months.

Last week whilst I was sorthing the GUI out, I parked the website and made it accessible to Admin team only.

It was parked for roughly about the full week.

Since re-opening of the site my site has vanished from the search results even if I type in mydomain.com nothing comes up apart from a few real deep insignificant pages and they are far back as well.

My friend told me Google don't like parked websites and de-indexes them!

Is this true and do you think I should file for a reconsideration ticket?

:listen:

while your site was parked the robot file probably was noindex, but next time it checks and crawls it should be back to normal and eventually reflect in the search engine

No real reason to contact Google just build out your content and links and your pages will get indexed. It may take a bit but check your server logs to see if the Google bots are coming by your site. If they are then it is just a matter of time.
