So, Here is the situation.

A few months ago, I got approached by a guy who owned a small marketing agency.

Let's Call Him "Steve" (Not his real name).

He offers me all this work and pays me.

Eventually, he pays me to work on SEO for a Vape Shop. Alright, simple enough right?

Nope.

The site was built in GoDaddy page builder, and we didn't have access to the site, so the On-page SEO was absolute ass.

After building dozens of back-links, the rankings improve minimally.

Steve demands a refund of the $300 he paid me to do his SEO.

HOWEVER,

He hasn't paid me for the 4-5 websites I built for him, and I doubt he ever will.

Whenever I bring up the subject of getting paid for those sites, he changes the subject and dodges the question.

Should I tell him to suck a dick or pay him back?

How much did you quote for building the websites?

Deduct that from the SEO money, pay back the difference then tell him to go suck a dick.

Each Site should have been for $89 USD. 4 X 89 = $356.

If anything, he still owes me $56

Send him an invoice for that then. See if he continues to hassle you for a refund

I join the post. I would write an e-mail to the customer in which I enumerate the costs of the websites and charge them with the $ 300. Of course, I would remain polite and respectable and end the business relationship with this email at the same time.

Send him the $56 bill every time he asks for the money back. Why did you keep working for him after he didn't pay for the other sites though?

Because he assured me he would pay at the end of the month. That was last month.

Compile an Invoice for all the work you have carried out, show that he still owes you money and suggest that once he has made the final payment he should find somebody else to carry out his SEO.
