SEO with tumblr blogs only [Casestudy]

The percentage is 68. I registered the blogs in the end of november about 27 to 29 i dripped everything and now after 2 weeks i saw this result
 
OP what Majestic Trust Flow are you using? I scrapped some and out of about 1 million urls I only got 4 with PA over 28 and TF over 10 that had a few decent non tumblr backlinks. I can find lots of PR blogs but they have only tumblr backlinks and I noticed after a few weeks that the ones I was checking before already were losing PA after a few weeks.
 
i tried the same and did not see really results .... will test some more.
 
Great im very happy that tumblr works for seo . I was using other method with tumblrs but this got me best results
 
I've read elsewhere to make tumblr post on branded account then buy reblogs. Anyone know where I can buy some reblogs?
 
So, you didn't do any other off site SEO and didn't link any of those together?
 
Hm... a while back i ran a test. Along my authority site I launched a porn tumblr. The test was to check out what would be more sucessful. A plain porn tumblr or the authority site I put a lot of effort into.
Well it turned out that for the first 6 months the porn tumblr outdid my authority site by a hundred fold.

but now here is the interesting part: I did get a seo optimized theme for my tumblr and further tweaked some stuff (most things that are "seo optimized" actually aren't *lol*).
Anyway the interesting part is: I did not buy an expired tumblr but started from scratch and only targeted one single keyword (has about 7 mio direct entries on google...so talking about competition)

While i only managed to get into the top 50 with my main keyword, I very quickly scored rankings on #1 with some long tail variations of it (not gonna reveal the niche but asume "big tits" and i scored for "big black tits"). I did not built any backlinks or whatnot. Just reblogging other content and adding a few hashtags and a proper description and title and maybe 100 characters text
The tumblr is now more or less on hold and i haven'T been posting anything for 6 months (never saw a good way to monetize it except for pennies, and i value my time :P). Either way, it is still seeing roughly 500 visitors a day.
 
What is the best way to share your links on Tumblr?
1) to use LINK button and copy/paste your link
2) use "Text post" and add link inside text?

Tumblr has just changed their linking code to meta refresh. I do not know whether our tumblr method still works from now on :(
 
OP, did you see any change in rankings after Tumblr changed the way it links out now?
 
Thanks for presenting your progress. You are doing better. I think newbies will get more information and inspiration from your journey.I also started the same journey and became success. Believe you'll also do better.
