Hey guys,
I'm working on a Q/A platform which is scheduled to launch by the end of this April. I'm kinda stuck at something and I need some advice.
The image above shows what the typical category page on my platform looks like. For example, each question has a minimum of 3 tags and once the question is posted, that question is added on the main page of those tags (which I like to call Categories). Now, the thing is that I and my team have to manually add in the image and a short description for each category or else it would look something like this
Now the problem is that there will probably be tens of thousands of category pages and writing a unique description for each category is an impossible task. So, is it possible to just copy a sentence from wikipedia? I've no problem citing the source (along with a no-follow link to wikipedia "if required")
Can this hurt me in the long term?
Another important thing that I would like to point out is that these descriptions will also be added in the meta description section of my website's category pages.
What are your thoughts?
