SEO EXPERT NEEDED!

So just recently all my rankings dropped from about 4500 clicks per day down to nearly 500 which is has left only my domain keyword ranking. I don't know if I should move on recover or what to do. What I want to know is the reason behind the drop and how to avoid it in the future. Also I would like the person I hire to help on SEO.

Here is what happened yet I have no manual actions received

Have you been doing any new / different off page seo work on the site ?

Have you checked Majestic or AHRefs to look at any backlinks ?

No not until this happened. After this happened I went on w3 validator to make sure everything was up to scratch and not much had to be done and also done a seo audit again not much had to be changed.

just went over some of my backlinks and there seems to be a lot of forum posts with the account having 1 post in total spamming my link to a lot of sites with the same word for word text just different link. Also found a couple backlinks on disqus profiles which have stolen password files leading to download pages. These are relatively new max 1.5 months old.

Ok some google update happened i got my site dropped a lot too.. i was using some kind of jacker but i don't think this is an issue as other sites are untouched.. No manual action nothing just gone from serps..

It's an update fixing data anomalies in Google Search Console (not Google's algorithm).
