Google penalty or not?!?!?

I have a 5 to 6 month old movie/series streaming site that gets around 20-40 real time visitors from google. Suddenly today its gone down to 2 or 3 real time from google. The only keyword I'm ranking for is the site domain name. I have checked manual actions and
Manual Actions
No manual webspam actions found.

What could be the reason for this down ranking. Of all the keywords I was on page 1 for now I am nowhere to be seen. I've heard dmca reports play a role in this but I have no way near the amount of dmca reports that some other competitors have and they are still ranking. This is now the second site I had this problem on and I don't have the slightest clue why it is happening.

Can anyone help?

You've gotta give us more information than that dude.

- Have you been link building? If so, what type of LB are you doing?

- How many pages large is the site and what sort of content is on the inner pages?

Let's start there...

I've only done link building in the early days of the site maybe around 3 months ago. Since then its been all organic.

Site has close to 400k indexed pages on google. inner pages have movie info, poster and a iframe of the video.

site has been growing steadily for the last couple months and growing faster just the last few days.
 
How many links did you build that are non-organic? What sort of links are they? Give me the exact date that you saw the keyword drop.

I purchased a package from here I think it was called lions maine. Can't remember tbh. The keyword drop happened maybe 5 hours ago today. went down from 30 real time to 1 real time from google
 
It may not be link but absence of authority links that must endorse your domain. I suppose your tier 1 is not credible to Google for it to send you traffic.

so you're saying its because I don't have quality backlinks? But it was fine all this time and they have been sending me traffic this happened all of a sudden and not gradually. One minute there was 30 from google real time and next minute 2. That's what is confusing.

Last year on a different site when I had the exact same problem I thought if I redirected to a new domain it would fix the problem and it did for about a week I got all my rankings back and after a week I lost them again.
 
Check your Search Console account a couple of days from now and see if a penalty comes up. I've lost count of how many times someone here posted a panic thread the same day they saw a sudden dip in traffic, only to see a manual penalty in their Search Console account anywhere from a day to a week later. There's a Google ALGO update/refresh on Friday, the effect of which is still not over. And apparently sites that took the beating are those that have had issues with links, although Google ruled out any penguin update.
 
guess all I can do for now is wait a few more days then to see if anything pops up in manual actions. I will update the thread if anything new happens. Thanks guys!
 
Might be a hickup on your server.

I test some client sites on GWT and I see "temporary inaccessible" errors. If this happens, Googlebot takes your site down for a while until you recover.

Worst case scenario is that it takes about 7 to 10 days for manual penalties to show up on your console. So it could be a penalty but you won't find out on the same day.

definitely not server issues
 
Date 05/09/2016, my site suddenly dropped view on google search ranking, from position 2 to No. 5, Who can help me know the cause, or a result I added links

Well for your own sites's sake I'll keep my hopes up it's just a hickup due to the site being 6 months old.

But new sites are also especially prone to this sort of thing. They disappear and out of nowhere pop up where they were.

I really hope you're right mate. I just hope its not the same thing as what I happened to my old site. That site was 1+ years old when it happened and I had no idea what the reason was. If I can find out what it was then maybe I can fix or avoid doing that thing next time. But right now I don't have a clue and my webmasters is 6 days behind on search analytics so I'm guessing if there was a penalty I will see it in manual actions in 6 days time.
 
Try to do link bulding or social bookmarking, it will help you to increase your visitor as early as. I think, it will be solved.

there is no point in doing any extra seo on it without finding the cause. I will still be updating and adding new content thats about it until the root cause has been found.
