Hello, so I am new here, and I noticed a lot of people on this forum are very familiar with how WordPress stuff goes on, and much more, which attracted me to make an account here. I'm personally not very professional at this, so I don't want to go deep into a hole I might not be able to get out of, but hope to ask you guys which are definitely way more informed on this.
I have a school project that I have to finish very soon, I'm simply making a website talking about ecology and how we need to recycle and stuff, not very important, and so far it seems like a random free template might be enough and some changes and done. But, my teacher wants me to include a lot of stuff, which includes videos, a lot of blog related work with constant updates, and a lot of overwhelming possibilities. Sadly, I wasn't given any kind of budget to start off, and was let to work all alone, with one of my friends working on the videos.
That's why I mostly wanted free/nulled stuff, because of the lack of money that I have. Most people get criticised because of that, and honestly I accept any kind of critiqué. I've also been trolled by WordPress and their free themes, because when I was mostly getting through them, they all looked nice, and after installing them, it was just a demo, with some even going for 40€, which I can't afford sadly. There was one theme that I really liked but it was a demo, so I tried searching for it online for free, but I still couldn't find it. Maybe anyone here can help with that? It's pretty neat!
I have recently downloaded some nulled WP themes, and plugins. I haven't checked the code or anything because I didn't know what they could have in the code itself, I just went with it. Until some time later on, which was recently, I noticed a thread on this forum (BHW) talking about how Nulled WP themes/plugins can be infected and ruin someones website, or even steal data (as in implementing a stealer-log to steal cookies from a browser, which I haven't seen happening to anyone so far), so I deleted every single nulled plugin and theme.
These themes and plugins looked great because they not only had what I needed, but some of the plugins also helped a lot, as I am very unexperienced, and can mostly work with drag and drop site builders (I would null the PRO versions out of some). Right now I am a bit worried as to if my WP is still safe, or even my data, but nothing was hosted yet, or kept for longer than 6 hours, so I hope I'm fine.
This forum seems very nice, hopefully I'm welcomed well, because everyone here seems nice, but now let's let this chit chat and get to my main thread question:
Are there any websites or services or anything similar so I can get amazing nulled/free WordPress themes/plugins with checked code for malware and php backdoors?
That last part might not be fully real, but even a website that's mostly trusted would be appreciated, like hugely. I can also put the websites that I downloaded from first, but for the safety of everyone, I won't put the links up only when asked about.
Hopefully I have been understood, even tho I typed a lot. Thanks for your time. Any reply would be really appreciated, and with this, I can also maybe make some new friends, who knows!
Thank you so much! Hopefully I posted this on the right forum.
