longer here i meant long lasting, i never said anywhere that content is the only important factor, its THE Most important, for faster as well as long lasting results,
oh yeah there is something called organic links which mainly comes from relevant original content & user truly appreciating the info elsewhere,
likewise you will really get f**ked up if not now, sure soon, if you just work on quality links with poor content, though u have high DA & PA links, poor content leads to high Bounce rate as user won't find value in your page, hope you know what happens next.

i understand your reputation is at stake here at BHW when you are getting proven wrong by a new joiner of BHW,
so to ans your desperate reply, firstly ecommerce sites doesnt rely on the content u talk about (articles/blogs), ecommerce is totally different ball game, do you think you can rank an ecommerce website with just links from ebay ? No.
SEM, Reviews, offers, UI/UX, Niche, competitors, PRs... and a tons more would only help, not just Content or links.
The comparison u are bringing in shows you are a dick head, and u are definitely no Guru,
stop getting humiliated, you have more followers, don't make them feel bad.

I never understand why people ask this question.

Presumably we all know that it takes all of these things to rank effectively so who cares which is ‘more important’?

At the end of the day, when they all combine for the best rankings then you would clearly do all of them. . .
