What is the best way to post a link in reddit. Because every time I post link either by link post or link in comments, gets removed or banned. I know self promote in reddit is not legal but 10% promotion is legal as their guideline says. But how do I drive traffic if they continuously banned from subreddits?

Answer the question and don't appear like a spammer. Reddit is a very sensitive community and they frown at any form of spam or self promotion.

You have to do it with your senses. If the link you're planning to post doesn't solve the user's problems, you're better off not posting it at all.

Most subreddits don't allow people to link to unverified sites. So either be a great poster and get approved or try to squeeze your link im another way.

I do the same. I do not blatantly promote my site. I do twice a day or thrice a day. Even I post my link in comment section, not direct link. But wondering how it is get detected?

Mate we all struggle to place our links on Reddit you are not alone :)
Maybe chose small subs and write a controversial post, add multiple links to hide yours among them, don't look spammy. Good luck
I choose small subs like under 10,000 subscribers but gets banned from it.

exactly! > smaller subs are the answer + get upvotes (there are several ways)

I think the best way is to become a known figure in the subreddit and start dropping good links from big sites and include your own in there sometimes.

I see too many posts in Affiliate marketing subreddits where people write long posts about how they "made it" and then at the end a little link. It's so generic and obvious.

Usually, you can tell by just looking at the headline. It's as if everyone is following the same blueprint that might have worked 5 years ago.

Build a persona around the subreddit and be part of the community. Then you can do your marketing things.
Of course if you can find subreddits with inactive mods, it would be a different story altogether.

Thank you @David Willy for the mention.

First of all make sure that your account is enough aged and have enough karma so your posts/comments show up.

If you target some specific subreddits,i can let you know that your account is good enough to post there or not.

Then, take this point into the consideration that self promotion should be done in an indirect way not to look spammy or like an advertisement.

And make sure that you are promoting your website in the right subreddits and submissions .

If your post was removed and you have good karma or if you are a long time user of reddit, then perhaps your post was removed for violating reddit RULES

First try to think like a normal Reddit user..will you always post other websites link..think before posting will I mention this website in comment if I were a normal user.

it also depends on what kind of link you are trying to post i.e. if its an obvious affiliate link its hard to get it to stick in the bigger subreddits.
best is a link to an article on your site that is on topic maybe paired with a question.

Try to get or build your own subreddits in your niche, then you can monetize it as you want because all the reports will come to you. It's very rare that someone goes straight to site admins, even if they do, usually nothing happens.

Thanks for the idea. I tried it but failed. I have created a few subreddits but want to know how to populate them? Can you please explain how to populate own subreddit?
