In December month, My ecommerce website's keywords are moving out of SERP and traffic going down day by day.

What is the real cause?

How to regain keyword's ranking and traffic?

what type of link building need to be done right now?

Please help and provide your thoughts.

Did you do Over Optimization?
 
On 6th November 2024, Google released a core update completed on Dec 6! Your site might be affected by this. BTW Yesterday another core update was rolled out by Google, and it will be completed in two weeks.

So I recommend letting this update get over and after that take actions for your site. Till then wait, watch and analyse.
 
Your site may hit with a December core update. Just wait for a few more weeks. Analyze your competitors to identify what kind of keywords, and topics they are ranking for. Work around those to improve the performance of your website.

If needed, perform a site audit and resolve the issues if you find anything. Also, check your backlinks to identify and fix the broken links. It may help.

The drop may be due to seasonal trends, Google updates or competition focus on technical SEO, fresh content and high quality backlinks to regain ranking and traffic.
 
I have been studying latest update in December 2024, and it seems the latest one's have favored aged and high da sites, tiktok has again started to rank for top spots, with rubbish content, however it seems like this will again change in next update

It's due to the new google update. I suggest you wait it out and get back to us.
 
It may happened because of update. To regain rankings, focus on optimizing content, fixing technical SEO issues and build relevant backlinks through guest posts and niche edits.

we are on a google update , you gotta wait until it's finished before doing any major changes so you can track everything at the end of it and to see the final results . Good Luck
