Hi everyone,

It's a pleasure to be here.

I'm a long time reader and follower of BHW (probably like most newbies) but this is my first post.

I've stayed in the background for many years just reading posts and learning what others do to navigate this business we call 'marketing'. I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with the tenacity and ingenuity of a lot of members on this platform and I hope I can achieve my 'marketing and financial goals' with the help of this platform.

And I hope to give back to this community and share my knowledge just like so many of you have done.

It's probably safe to say, online marketing is an absolute minefield with so many pitfalls and a platform like BHW is very much needed.

A bit about me....

I'm a Londoner who is convinced that making money online is the way to go. I have dabbled in eBay and Amazon, buying and selling stock. I also have an interest in Forex trading and enjoy looking at charts and trying to spot patterns. And it is my interest in Forex that has lead me to my new venture... Affiliate Marketing.

You see, my aim is to make money by being an affiliate for a couple of Forex brokers. The idea is to send them new customers who make a First Time Deposit (FTD) and they pay me a flat commission (CPA) only after some conditions have been met (Qualified Customer).

So what have I done so far?

1 - Created a forex related website / blog site (this had to be done in order to apply for partnership with some brokers. Not all of them require this but the good ones most certainly do)

2 - Applied to many brokers (an insane amount) and read a ton of Terms and Conditions :)

3 - Got approved by several brokers but eventually settled with two that met my criteria. And what were my criteria I here you ask? Well...
a) They had to be reputable, been around for a long time, have good reviews on credible forex related sites / forums
b) They had to be regulated by governing organisations / bodies (the more the better)
c) User friendly platform
d) Competitive spreads
e) The commission they pay Affiliates had to be good
f) The conditions for a customer to be a Qualified Customer had to be low so that I can get paid quicker. Some brokers require a customer to place a number of trades before your commission (CPA) is paid out. For instance one broker required customers to have made 20 trades or have traded 10 standard lots before paying you your commission. This means you might be waiting a while before you ever see any money from your efforts (not ideal). Whereas some brokers only require the customer to open and close one trade and your commission will be triggered (this is probably the best condition)

4 - I created social media accounts for the brand (IG, FB, Twitter, Telegram etc etc). I paid someone on fiverr to create content and started posting on the various platform. This is very tedious and will need to automate somehow. I'm currently exploring social media growth strategies but from what I've been reading on this platform, using tools like Jarvee doesn't work so well anymore???

5 - Bought some marketing courses (some cheap and some very expensive courses)

6 - I implemented a paid YouTube ads campaign based on the tutorials in the courses that I bought. So basically I created a landing page with a video sales letter (15 minute long video) and an email opt-in form for a leads magnet. I then created a 2 minute youtube video advert and ran the campaign. Needless to say my campaign was a massive flop. So I tweaked things a little and ran the campaign again. I got more clicks and people watched my VSL but took no further action. So I tweaked things some more and instead of a video sales letter, I sent people to a static sales page and the CTA on that page was to send me a message on FB messenger. I got a couple of inquiries but no conversions. At this point I had spent a couple of grand running campaigns so I stopped because it was getting too expensive to continue testing.

And this leads me to where I'm at, on BHW looking for alternative and cheaper ways to get Traffic and Conversions and advice.

I have heard of mass IG dm services. If anyone can recommend some good ones I would really appreciate this.

I've just realised my post has turned from a quick introduction into a mini how to post lol :)

Anyway, thanks for reading and any help will be welcomed.

Excellent introduction, welcome to the forum man, there are some solid services and great resources here to tackle the goals you shared, and it seems to me you have a good sense of direction and are making an effort, which already puts you ahead of most, best of luck with your site bro, I wish you much success with it, it is a competitive niche but a worthwhile one for sure with the right traffic volumes.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words. I'm determined to make this work as I'm so inspired by the amount of people I've seen achieve astronomical goals in Internet Marketing. What's your experience in this field and how long have you been on BHW?
