Hey guys, I've been considering an idea for one of my new revenue streams.
I wanted something that wouldn't take much time as I already have 3 other gigs I work on (IRL deliveries, Instagram affiliates, and reselling on eBay/ Mercari.) So I thought, why not just bring the content that already exists into a video format?
I use the Flipboard app to stay on top of business and tech news but I first got interested in skimming through my morning articles when I would open up the Google app and see some 10 article headlines loaded into the app.
Why not simply turn on your mic on your phone, skim through an article and ask people what they think? The more controversial the better. After all, user-generated content has proven to be the most profitable of youtube channels. May take 10 uploads before you can monetize but they wouldn't run past 5-minute videos. The actual video could be anything from gameplay, copyright-free stock photo slides, or a single picture (I've seen this and no one seems to care???)
So now I ask you guys, have any of you done this? was it profitable in the end? did it take more than an hour a day to upload daily? Maybe you've messed around with youtube monetization but just not in this way, do you think this is promising?
Youtube is definitely in its 3rd act in my eyes, but milking it to the end couldn't hurt. I'm tempted to try this method for the experience alone. Unless I hear this is horrible and a total waste of time that won't teach me any IM skill then I will go for it anyway. Follow my journey if you're interested I guess.
