I bought this yesterday. I'm not posting my receipt here in exchange for bumping your thread. I'm just bumping it because I want to leave my thoughts on the ebook here.
As with everything in life, there is good and bad. I walked away a happy customer, but I want to be honest and open with my thoughts. I see what you are doing with your first attempt at creating a product, and I believe that you are well on your way to doing something great with this. I believe that this can be improved upon, but this is just my opinion.
So I started playing with IG less than a week ago. I am as close to an IG noob as you will find. I'm also relatively old, so I expected to find a ton of information that I didn't know.
On that aspect, I was a little disappointed. With all due respect to the op, I would say that the vast majority of it is fluff and pretty common knowledge. As a real IG noob, I figured out almost all of this within a couple of days of using the platform and just watching what successful people on it were doing. Is that because I'm special or smart? No, it's just basic common sense and simple observations.
I would reckon that anyone seriously working with IG for a month will not learn almost anything from this ebook. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe I just failed to actually "learn" from it because I missed something? Maybe a pro would know everything except for one thing covered in the book, and that one simple thing would justify the time and financial commitment?
There are so many specific questions that I still have that weren't really covered at all. For instance, you brush over hashtags. I want to know about actually choosing hashtags, how many you really recommend to use, and examples on how you can actually gain new followers with a certain hashtag strategy. There are several other solid examples of details that are basically brushed over in the book or not even really mentioned.
As for blackhat or greyhat strategies, there is almost no content at all. There are some basic summaries of techniques and tools used, but that's about it. I really wish that this would have been covered in depth. Questions such as phone verifying accounts (what everyone wants to know), creating accounts, etc were not addressed.
Now for the good parts:
It is extremely well written. This is the most well written ebook that I have ever opened. Hell, I'll pay $27 just to read a good book that helps to fill up an afternoon. The use of images as an example are great.
In the 102 pages I learned two things that are probably worth more than $27. I'm not going to out you op with my opinion/review, but the "one two" and IG names are great. As an IG noob, I hadn't thought of that. I want to say that I would have eventually figured it out, but maybe not?
I'm excited to see the forum. I think this could be fantastic. Maybe all of the real/solid information that wasn't in the book will be there. I really hope so. It could also be a great place to ask questions. It's pretty hard to get good info here at BHW, so that could be a really great resource. Hopefully I'm approved for the forum soon enough and will find out.
In summary, I enjoyed the book. It was a fun read. Yes, it is very "fluffy", but I enjoyed the fluff. I learned enough from it to feel like I got my $27 worth. I think it could have done so much more, but hopefully the forum will fill my belly.
No hate here op. Just my honest opinion.
