been looking for days.. not sure what to look for since its process id 4.. i need more specifics// ive never had so much trouble with 1 program trying to USE port 80 like this EVER in the 15 years ive been using computers....

Why are you having trouble with identifying the process which uses up port 80?

May i recommend Currports?

This will also show you the process id which is using up port 80, it should be an easy target and kill.

hey,BTW Captcha destruction Kit is great.
But you have to add this feature: in the down-left corner were it is the image processing commands, we must have the possibility to remove individual filters and edit the parameters for any filter that is added in the list. In the current state, if I wrongly add a filter or a faulty parameter, I have to reset and start again from scratch.
I'm waiting for a reply!

Yea I suggested that earlier. Hopefully they add it soon because it's a pain to have to reset it each time and start over

really nice software, goes well with ultimate demon. Of course no recaptcha, but it's still worth it for the sites that still use other captchas. Those sites are unfortunately dwindling so I'll have to use them while I still can.

It's becoming pain to start CS every time after it crash and it crash every one hour.
Every time I need to start it I:
1) click on settings and deselect "use host file"
2) click on settings and select CSSE
3) Stop server button
4) Change no of threads to 100
5) Click on start button
6) do many more clicks to select all captcha types

Can you make one small update, but please in close feature, that will save all settings and once I open CS to reload all settings, to start CSSE with no of thread that I set last time and to select all captcha types I selected last time

even if we do release a recaptcha solution, its known that they have 5-10 changes waiting in the wings ready to roll out. Its an easy roll out too, since its centralized They watch this thread closely.

I would like to really Thank Andrei for all the help he has provided since i have CS running and working perfectly on my PC.
He has been helping me 2 nights ago via TV almost till 02:00 AM his time witch i really appreciate, he didn't stopped till the problem with my machine has been founded and solved !

He's 100% professional and committed to this project and always is willing to help no matter what time it is if day or night time he's always there so i just wanted to point that out as this is VERY difficult to find with other people when comes to support and help. CS works GREAT ! and worth every penny, since i started to use it i have saved tons of money in captchas and if i ever have any problems with the software the support is always there so what else can you ask for ?

For those getting these error, I tried this but doesn't fix. I disable my Anti-Virus and it works well. I was using Kaspersky Pure and it was doing something to trigger the error. So, disabling it works..

Edit* Enable my Anti-Virus again..From the application control, I changed the software to trusted and it works very well without any errors.

Run-time error '75' Path/file access error

I was able to simulate this error by marking the host file as read only.

Who is getting this error message. Please verify that it isn't set as read only

In case it is, untick read only please.

If the host file is not set as read only, you might want to ricght click captchasniper.exe, go to the compatibility tab and check that it is set to run as admin and in win xp mode for all users!

Ok, just to let you guys know the scenarios where I encountered this error so far:

1. Host file was set as read only
2. An exception for Captcha Sniper wasn't added in the antivirus
3. On machines which have also installed Captcha Infinity. Now, I am not sure why this generated and triggered the runtime error, but I noticed that even after CI was closed, the entries which it adds to the host file where still there and they needed to be removed manually. As soon as I did that, the error was solved.

Many of us bought CS only because of the promise of recaptcha support.

Mike didn't say it is abandoned, it is still work in progress, only thing he was reffering to is that with all the fuzz around it in this thread, a new update can be rolled out as soon as it is launched. Now, once it is finished and rolled out, we can not say or predict how the next algo will look like and if they roll out the update the next day after we implement it, this would put us and you guys dead in the water wouldn't it?

For example, xrumer isn't a big threat since it only posts to a number of platforms, but CS on the other hand would be compatible with several tools meaning each and every platform that there is out there.

So, basically it is still work in progress, but please guys stop the fuzz about it. You wil only help yourself and us by doing this
