I'm just still unclear, what I would need to use this to send cold emails. Do I need to buy multiple domains with email capabilities like I would with other mass cold email tools, or not? What more would I need to buy to make this work?

You do not need anything else.
Simply buy one domain name and you will need to validate the domain with the DNS records that will be provided in your EMAIL MAGIC dashboard settings. This will be given in your dashboard when you purchase. It takes about 2 minutes to do that and you can start sending mass emails from day #1

Tip: I recommend setting up an email address on the domain name you purchase (e.g. [email protected]). If you already have a domain name like mydomain.com on which your real business website is built and you plan to send cold emails to boost sales for this business, it is recommended to buy a domain name that is similar to the main domain (use a .NET or .INFO or .ORG extension e.g mydomain.net). Then set a 302 or 301 redirect to the main domain [mydomain.com], for brand consistency in the mind of your potential clients or customers.

Once 25,000 contact import is reached, does this renew the next month, or does this mean the account is now useless and cannot add anymore contacts?

Let me explain
Example: let's assume you purchased the Magic Lite plan in May 8, 2024 and you uploaded 25k contacts. And you decided to delete all the 25k contact before June 8, 2024, you are allowed to upload new 25k contacts from June as you now have zero contact since you have deleted all your 25k contacts before your subscription renewal. In other words, you can upload a new list of 25k contacts because you have a newly unused 25k contacts credits.

Note: you cannot have a total of 50k contacts at a time in the Magic Lite plan.

Please understand we do not allow scammy emails or phishing emails; only marketing, transactional and outreach emails are allowed in our system together with all the useful features mentioned in this thread.

On a similar note, just as a suggestion, would you consider removing the contact limit restrictions where you can't delete the contact and reupload in the same month, as it seems this might be a large contention point for people purchasing your service as I'm not the only person that has asked about this and gotten confused.

I have the same view on this btw - service seems good but e.g. Magic Lite only allows 25k contacts and 200k emails monthly. That means I'd have to send 8 emails per contact per month to get my moneys worth. But I only want to send maybe 1 or 2 emails per month to a much larger set of contacts... If I go for a higher tier then I am paying a lot more and only using a fraction of my total email allowance per month...

I think you're misunderstanding what he was saying. He isn't asking you to lower the price. He's saying that he'd rather be able to upload/delete more than 25k people in a month and have a lower send rate. I think a lot of people only want to send 1-3 emails at most to the same people. So, let's say 2. He's saying he'd rather have it so that he could upload 50k-100k people per month and email that list 1-2 times.
I think a lot of people are confused as to why you're going by list size monthly as opposed to max emails sent. They're saying that on your lowest plan you're allowing 200k emails per month, but only 25k contacts. Again, I think a lot of people would prefer if you lowered the max emails sent to say 100k but allowed up to 100k contacts per month to be uploaded. If there is a reason behind why you're going by contacts instead of total emails sent, then it would help if you would mention it. I also have a question, can the emails be personalized with a name field? Thanks.

For example, 50k contact limit at 150k email sends where you can deleted and upload more contacts in the same month. More specifically, your limitation will be on the monthly email sends instead of contact limit.

Hell even if its 25k contact limit, but you can delete and upload more, and reduce the monthly email to 150k or 100k would make more sense as the flexibility to change the contact/list size is a minimum requirement for any cold emailing server.

Yeh basically limit the monthly emails sent to a lower amount, and remove the contact limit will simplify the offering and also makes more sense as it differentiates the API service vs the Email magic.
