also if your trying to use the proxies harvested
from within scrape box - this has been said a thousand
times - dont expect anything from them - with so many
people owning scrape box and all scraping the same 7 internal
sources is why most people get crap proxies of it. there to
widely shared and die like rats . u need to try other sources

Seconded....and thirded...the proxies that sbox can harvest are abused heavily and have extremely short life-spans. It's nice that you can get them for free, and they are useful for scraping the SE's, but beyond that they are pretty worthless.

true true greg a pool shared by so many
gets quickly poluted and wasted

I've never really had the WhoIs checker work well, it only collects data on maybe 10% of the domains and the rest are blank. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

u had me worried there jaan24
i thought u might say it was my
proxies - at least im glad to hear
it isnt that - had no other complaints
for users on my proxies and im sure
if was proxie related greg would have
let me no via yahoo. def a tech problem not proxie

I've tried them both (your proxies and SB internal source's proxies ) with same result. Its definately NOT proxy issue but its something technical. Pls see the attached file I've enclosed here.

Very weird. If you want, PM me a few of the IP's you're testing (preferrably starting with the first one that causes the error) and I'll test them and let you know what I get.

Thanks for offering PERSONAL help Greg. I've enclosed the screenshot of WHAT Im getting while testing proxies. (Pls see the above post) BUT I think the issue is something technical and that's not related to the proxies Im testing as I've tried both (SB source and Proxygo's ) proxies.

Can shed some light on this?

Please go to "Help" and then "Reset All Settings" and see if that fixes it.

and a few other things but im very happy with it.

My site is going good and im happy :)

if sweets reset fixed it def your
time out at 0.00 was probably why

I just bought this a couple days ago and am *very* impressed with it so far, although I haven't yet had a chance to measure the results after giving enough time for comment approvals.

Today, I just ran through my first batch of wordpress comments using only free proxies, and had a (supposed) submission success rate of ~60%. I'm not sure how correct that is, however I was able to verify at least two links already displaying out of ~500 submissions, keeping in mind that most are probably still awaiting approval. Those were wordpress blogs for an adult term, so I'm not expecting very many to get approved.

I then ran a blogengine submission to 138 urls (also using free proxies), it claimed 66 were submitted successfully, and it found 19 of my links when I ran the link checker. Looks like I screwed up by trying to use anchor text in my blogengine submits though, as it broke the formatting and displayed the entire html code in the comment, appending the ">text to my url, rendering the link invalid.

Anyway, once I get the hang of this thing, it seems like it could prove to be a very valuable tool. if I hadn't botched the blogengine comment templates, I could have already had 19 links pointing to the domain.
