i recently purchased the scrapper and have a few questions about it..
1) in the Commend Poster - whats the difference between posting on wordpress with and without the "Send Trackbacks" checkbox? is there any recommended way to work?
2) whats exactly does the "check links" supposed to do? i once tried to use it and it started to open 100's of iexplore windows...

They are two different features, you post comments "or" you send trackbacks. As for the link checker, nobody has mentioned this happening.. So what Internet Explorer version do you have?

Yes, you can harvest any types of URL's you want.

Please go back to the download page, and read it.

ok i finally got a chance to use it. I can not get it to harvest. It starts and after about 500 or 600 it gets an error and stops 404 error i believe saying something about google. Same thing happens when i go to check page rank, After checking about 30 or so sites it shuts off something about proxies. I just put in proxies i harvest with my old cracking software access diver. Let scraper checked them and found about 80 or so working proxies.

Am i doing somthing wrong of is this another problem with vista 64

Hi no it's a proxy problem. If ScrapeBox gets a 404 through the proxy, then it's impossible to get anything.

It's a bit like trying to surf the net when your ISP has cut your internet off. There's not much i can do, except remove free proxy support to stop all the problems associated with them.

The best solution is don't use free and unreliable proxies that 1,000 other people are spamming to death, because your mileage will vary. If you paste in a random list of 500 proxies, there's more chance connections will grab bad ones.. You are better of using just a handful you know are reliable.

Just because a proxy responds as "Alive" to a ping, doesn't mean it's going to work good or even at all. Examples:

There's Options:

Use Google with no proxies but add a delay to prevent being blocked
Harvest from Yahoo or Bing instead which has virtually unlimited Queries/URL?s
Use reliable private proxies

You can scrape almost unlimited URL's from Yahoo & Bing, because i'm using a bank of official API's. There's not much i can do to make your 404 proxy come alive again.

A few notes, AOL is not reliable beyond about 15 pages of results even in a web browser. There is NOTHING i can do about that, it's provided as yet another alternative and because the results are similar to Google. So please don't complain you punched in 1,000 and only got 600 back, AOL need to fix this not me so simply scrape whatever you get out of them and be happy. I've sent them an email about it, not sure if/when it will be fixed.

Bing does not have a Timeline Search Feature after hours of looking, so no it wasn't "forgotten" but if you do find the option please let me know.

Edit: v1.5.0 adjusted, the Proxy Test will do an actual query "through" Google for the keyword "Test" and look for a particular piece of text on the page to confirm if it's Valid/Invalid.

Hopefully this will eliminate some of these problems with free proxies.

this is ridiculous i can not do nothing. been at it for hours. After hitting start harvest every 5 minutes about 30 times i finally got 1200 or so links then after remove dubes i am back at 100 I have tried so many proxies it is not even funny. And yes they are good proxies. I have cracked many porn sites over the years to know what is a good proxy is. I have scraped them with access diver, then checked them with Charon--Proxy Anonymity Checker stand alone and inside cforce and checked with 7 or 8 proxy judges so i am 100% sure my proxies are not the problem

Hours and i accomplished nothing but checking proxies. I have used 1 or 2 at a time and i used a list of 200 i get further with using 2 only. Been trying to check back links for over an hour and was able to get 3 back links checked in that time. I have keywords as internet marketing. I go check out one of the back links and it is a porn site.

No what's ridiculous is you continue to use shit proxies and expect them to work. You can harvest 1 Million URL's from Yahoo and Bing alone per day without even using a proxy due to the API's.

If you have a 1 Million URL allowance per day without the need to even use a proxy, and you fail to get a thousand URL's you are doing something very wrong.

VinnyChase, I can easily harvest 4k/5k in less than 3 mins. Posting is also super fast.

sweetfunny aka banks sell an excellent product. I can't even count the numbers of updates sweetfunny has add to the product since my purchase. I also emailed sweetfunny a few times and asked some questions. Sweetfunny always replied timely and has been very helpful.

Vinny, something must be wrong with either your proxy, pc or network. There are many others, in this forum and other forums, who bought this and they have nothing but praises for it.

I definitely don't think you have any problem if you are not using proxy. So this is an user issue, not software.

Thanks guys, i'll admit ScrapeBox isn't perfect and even Xrumer was buggy as heck right back in the beginning also. This application isn't something i'm tossing out there for sale, never to be updated, fixed or improved ever again.

Every day, relentlessly this is being improved and enhanced and virtually every waking hour is being dedicated to it. Personally i think, for a $47 couple of week old application it's impressive and i would think that even if i had nothing to do with it.

Anyhow, free proxies.. This is being rewritten right now.

Of course harvesting will be a little slower due to all the retries, but "nothing" will stop it until either a) Every URL is harvested or b) Every proxy is dead/screwed.

Well i think it is an awsome application and exactly what i need to create backlinks, but i can not get it to work. Today I will go old school and unhook my router and get off my network and try that. It made be my network is changing all my outgoing info,(i hope not or i can be in real trouble). It might have something to do with my vista 64 even though you said it was built with windows 7 i have problems with almost every program including senuke. I am not trying to get 1 million url's but 200 would be nice but if 60 is all i can get then i take it. Better than nothing. I am not worried about the money, I just want to learn internet marketing. Making back links is killing me day in and day out. I kept at this till 3 am so today is a new day and i will figure out why I am being blocked.

Timeline search is where you can search pages indexed within a certain timeframe, so new/fresh pages really. It's so you don't comment on blog posts written back in 2005.

In the snippets you can see 2 days ago, 3 days ago and just results in the past week.

Very interesting. So while you would be limited to 1000 search results for one KW per search engine, this would also yield in more urls for the same kw if you use timeline and merge the results from all timelines..

I have 130 wordpress blogs and I am looking for a tool where I could write a list of posts in a text file and then have the application randomly make the posts to them. Since all of the blogs are smiliar in nature spinning the aticles myself is not a problem. Posting to 130 blogs a day is!LOL Can I do this with this program? It sounds like it can and much more and if it can I will purchse in a heartbeat. If not could someone please direct me to one that will.
