Just purchased and sent a support email with a few questions. I look forward to using this software. =)

Thanks, all pending support questions and license activations have been done at this stage. So if you are not activated, or haven't been replied to just let me know.

Please make a SEnuke crusher now :)

I thought about it, then quickly dropped the idea at the thought of chasing source code changes in 50 odd websites every second day. For the long term, it's a big commitment.

Just a heads up, ScrapeBox.com will go down shortly as i transfer everything to new hardware. I'm doing a live filecopy of the server now to the new one, then will pull the plug to route IP's and it will be up again in 15-20 minutes.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

It's totally optional, although IMHO it's good to grab a decent/fast paid proxy if your doing tons of blog comments to cover your tracks a little.

You can use free proxies, but your mileage will vary with those and it's usually time consuming collecting and sorting through free lists every day. Personally i feel paying the $5-$10 every month to save all that is worth it.

I thought it was more than $5-$10 for proxies. What companies do you recommend?

Ok I just bought this and my initial impression is very good, but there is a feature I'd like to see added, for what it's worth. I'd like there to be the option to blacklist domains. In other words, either don't post comments to urls from those specified "bad" domains or just don't harvest them. Or perhaps just a button like the trim button, but it removes any urls from the list that correspond with the unwanted domains.

After harvesting, you can always open the .txt file, hit ctrl+f and remove the domains you dont want to deal with...

Right, I can manually do most or all of the stuff this software does...But then that's not the point. ;)

You can already do this. Make a file with all the domains you never want to post to, such as Matt Cutts blog and call it Blacklist.txt

Import the list you "want" to post to in to the Harvester, then "Select the URL Lists To Compare" and choose your Blacklist.txt

Done, if any domains sitting in the Harvester were in your Blacklist.txt they are now gone, just send your list to the Commenter and start posting.

It should work just fine, although i haven't tested it however if you buy ScrapeBox and it doesn't work.. I will give you a full refund so you have nothing to lose.

v1.4.5 Released

* Added "Link Lock" Feature

I have no idea what to call this feature, but "Link Lock" sounds good. If the number of entries in your Names.txt is identical to the number of URL's in your Websites.txt they will be locked together in pairs when posting. Currently a random Name and URL is used from your lists when commenting, which is good but if you have

In your Names.txt:

Cats
Dogs

Then in your Websites.txt:

www.cats.com
www.dogs.com

You can wind up with the "Cats" anchor on the dogs.com link. So now if your Names.txt and Websites.txt has an identical amount of lines "Link Lock" will kick in and ensure the anchor text on line 13 will be used with your URL on line 13 and so on.

Make sense? Good. :)

did you upload the new version? I am using 1.4.3 and it says no new version available at this time.

I tried, but it seems that unless it fully matches the url, it doesn't work. If you have hxxp://blog.com/blog-post in your harvested list, then you must have that exact url in your blacklist, not blog.com nor hxxp://blog.com/

ok my scrapebox just got activated and it seems to work on my windows server 2003 vps.

i noticed that using asterisk (*) in the search string doesnt work on google.

for example inurl:poker*.com returns no results but if you go and type this directly on google there are 340 million results

Right my bad, i understand.

v1.4.6 Uploaded

* Features Domain Blacklist for Automatic Removal

jpugcm.png

There's a Blacklist.txt file in the blacklist folder, whatever domains are in this file will be automatically removed. I've added a couple to kick you off like Matt Cutts, the Askimet blog etc these are pruned automatically so you don't have to remember to manually remove them.

Have the software now for a day and seems to work fine, but have some question.

I am using proxies, have a list of around 100 proxies I use.
When I ping them most work
When I trst them many fail I assume this is normal
So I test them 4 times and that the reamining ones should work I hope.

When harvasting I use the proxies but how do you handle this. Evey new request is made through a different proxy or are they all by the same proxy.

Now I start to harvast, have done this the last day but now seem to have some problem
for example I want to harvast 600 links only through goolge using proxies and I get 0 links when I want 600 links. When reduced to 400 links I get 140 hits.
When I deselect proxy I am getting 560 hits.

Seems like the proxy I am using has reached it's limit. That Said I have a list of 50 working proxies (tested 5 times) so this should not be a problem ?

Do you rotate proxies in the list when searching ?

I had been using a different automated blog commenter before which was a lot slower, yours seems to be 5 times faster but seems like a little less % is posted when comparred to the other software.
That said the first 1000 go very fast after that it seems to be slower.
I am using proxies when posting and again do you rotate these when posting ?

Had a small list of 152 blogs.
when posting using no proxy I got 70 posted when using proxies on the same list I only had 54 posted.

Do you rotate proxies when posting ?

will do some more testing this week.

If you tick the box to use proxies, they are randomly rotated no matter what operation you are performing provided you have more than one proxy of course.

I had been using a different automated blog commenter before which was a lot slower, yours seems to be 5 times faster but seems like a little less % is posted when comparred to the other software.

Not possible, ScrapeBox handles complex Javascript and a number of antispam plugins for a start. How did you conduct any sort of comparative when you are having problems left and right with proxy errors.

Harvest a list say 2k, post to them using no proxy or a decent private proxy with ScrapeBox then check how many links actually exist with the Link Checker. Then change comments and your link in the websites.txt file and post to the same blog list with the other tool and check how many links actually exist with the link checker.

No need to mention the other tool, but post the results here such as time taken and links that actually exist after the run. If you want to compare, do a proper test at least. The link checker is there for anyone to try this.

wonhotop - No i don't use messengers sorry, but feel free to submit a support email if you like.

jaobedoza - Quite possibly yes, i don't have a 2003 server to test it on but it may be something funny going on with urlencode. I'll look in to this tomorrow, morning and see why it's happening.
