Summary
For the review, I tested @kindablack's security service. The details of my review are below.

Service Information

I'm going to give the seller a somewhat more in-depth review than I normally write as I found working with @kindablack to be an enjoyable experience.

This service does require you to provide the seller with access to your website. In this case, you'll to provide the login credentials to your website's dashboard at a minimum, although I also provided them with access to my web host as it was necessary in my case.

Once @kindablack was done working their magic on the site I provided them, they sent me a PDF report that contained everything they did to the website, which matched up to everything they advertised in their sales thread. Of course, I logged into the website to confirm all of this as well.

Going back to the report, it went over the security changes to the website. Many of these security changes were changes I would typically make to my own WordPress websites (e.g., renaming wp-login.php and hiding the version of WordPress), however there were several other neat features I hadn't thought of implementing beforehand.

Throughout the review, the seller would request permission to contact my web host on my behalf. I did appreciate the fact that he asked me for my permission beforehand as I know many others would've just gone ahead and done this. @kindablack remained transparent with me by sharing the web host's responses

On a final note and for transparency purposes, I will say that I provided the seller access to a deceased client/friend's website for the review. I normally wouldn't provide anyone else with access to a website that can be tied back to me, or especially this particular website as it now serves as a memorial website. However,@kindablack needed a website that didn't have a file upload limit and I felt he was trustworthy enough to provide him the necessary credentials. Needless to say, I'm quite happy with the fact that he boosted the security on the website as it was something I had been meaning to do myself for quite some time now, but I never got around to it.

For Buyers: The quality of the product or service that I receive is what you should expect, or better. If you feel that the quality of the service has dropped significantly, please let us know via the report button.

I would pay @kindablack double for his service, he knows what he is doing and it`s always meticulous with each aspect. We all know the security of Wordpress is not for what we pick this platform so an add-on security check is a MUST DO.

Disclaimer: I received a review copy in exchange for me providing an HONEST review. The views are my own and no one has seen them prior to posting.

When I originally clicked onto the thread I hadn't realised how recently it had started, I had read through the advert and started to decide whether I was going to put money down to get this done to one of my sites. I was therefore over the moon to find that there were actually still review copies available.

As part of the service, you need to provide Ridvan with FTP access to your WordPress site and administrator access. If you're not comfortable with this then you will not be able to use this service but you won't be able to find any service like this which won't require that access.

I had, slightly cheekily, originally asked about whether it was possible for the site to be a WordPress multisite, which Ridvan was happy to try as he hadn't tried the set up on a multisite before even though it wasn't necessarily part of the review. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a little bit more difficult than expected, so we moved to using one of my normal sites for the review. Ridvan has said that he is going to have a look at how to do this on a multisite.

The closest I have as a complaint is that I did have to ask for an update to confirm if Ridvan had been able to successfully log into my site but the work was completed well within the stated TAT.

Upon completion, Ridvan sent me a report using Google Docs providing details of what had been done to the site. The report is well-formatted and about 7 pages long. As part of my post checks I checked the license situation and the license is currently showing that it expires 22-Oct 2020. After speaking to Ridvan it sounds like they are using their agency license, which they'll be renewing so you'll be protected as long as they continue renewing the license.

Things to shout about:

• The service is done quickly
• Amazing price for the work that is done.
• The plugins that are installed are legit versions and not nulled.
• I like that they're stating that they're limiting the number of people that they'll take on at once, while this may just be a scarcity thing, it does also make me feel like they're not going to have huge numbers of people that they're trying to work with at once and therefore doing the absolute minimum to get this over the line.

Even better if:

• As mentioned, currently it doesn't work on WordPress multisite but this sounds like a plugin limitation. Speaking to Ridvan, he's going to be looking into this so it may be something that comes in the future
• A little note to be included in the report about the license expiration, which should save people asking.

Summing up:
This is basically a steal. The two licenses that you get as part of this service are worth more each year than what you're paying for a lifetime installation. Having someone do the installation and configuration for this is great, security is not something that you want to mess up. Having read through what has been changed this is pretty extensive and I can't think of anything extra I would do to secure my WordPress sites.

Note: I received a review copy from @kindablack. This is my personal review.

From the get-go, Ridvan asked for the following:

- Website URL:
- WP Admin login (full access)
- FTP Access (to the Wordpress main directory)

I fumbled a bit initially and after a few takes provided him FTP access to the wordpress main directory. Ridvan was professional throughout the transaction and the delivery was done well within the TAT.

On delivery he passed me a PDF which is 7 pages long and speaks about a variety of changes made ranging from securing wp-login to system tweaks, blacklists, token storage, backups and much more.

I especially like the 'Login via email only' part where you don't depend on user-pass for logins. Another aspect that I appreciate besides the security features is the backup to dropbox without taking up server space.

I have previously delved into securing my wordpress site and had read a bit of what Ridvan has mentioned in the PDF. However, the PDF goes more in-depth and covers a lot of breadth as well, as far as security is concerned.

What could be improved?
To be honest, I'm trying to find a fault but I can't at this point in time. If something comes to my mind, I will update this thread. I did ask him how may I revert all the changes he has made to the site incase something goes wrong. He promptly replied with the steps I would need to take. The steps are pretty simple. And they apply to both, the security as well as the backup aspect.


To conclude:
If you happen to have a website that is precious to you and makes you decent enough money, I would recommend safeguarding it with this service.
The cost is reasonable and you can have peace of mind knowing you've done your best hiring a professional to secure your business.

As others have said on this thread, I would certainly pay a lot for the service that has been provided. Much more than requested.

When asked to provide the required access, I gave him what I had @kindablack replied to me saying that the FTP user was not allowed access to the required directories. I said that I would try and sort it out (not something I am overly confident with to be fair) but he asked if he could sort it out for me. Of course, I agreed.

A couple of days later, everything was done. All I had to do was provide Ridvan with my (inept) abilities, and he did the rest. Great work!

On receipt of the report, I was surprised at how much work had actually been done. The 7 pages were well set out, detailed and easy to understand.

Brilliant service, brilliant result. I will use you again when I need to.
