PBN Sellers Linked To Each Other

Why are these services still open in Marketplace? Why not close their threads until this gets settled? If it just takes one thread in shitlist to gets these sellers banned, then OP should really start one.

I hope mods look into this too.

Missed the post you quoted the first time through. I bought something from @sarkark21 recently, so I'll check if I got emails from aka sam as well.

Closing a BST is not a good idea in my opinion unless there are copious people popping in the SL thread saying they had similar negative experiences. I think there is merit in that thought if you have a handful of people complaining though but I would defer to the Marketplace Mods on any action there should that be instituted.

Often times it takes some time to get to the bottom of things as the Mod has other things on his plate, the seller or buyer is not online all the time, reading the reports provided can take some time (I had one SL thread where I had to go through 37 excel files) and to penalize the seller right off is not far from saying he is guilty without going through the process of proof.

Proving 200% and accusing are two different things

Iknowseo has already asked to see the reports. If they start shutting threads on accusations alone then well, game over the whole market place

Innocent until proven and all that

May be this is the main reason i think, why most of the PBN sellers doesn't provide full reports to customers. I think they are all resellers & linked to one Main provider.

i was on a shopping spree last couple of months :D there used to be couple of resellers but now SMH i bough the same service in 3 different prices the reports i got were in the same format (even the template for report delivery email was the same just change the name in regards) now i only buy from sellers i know

and one more thing, they say permanent homepage links when in reality the links hardly stays on the homepage for a week or so, burned couple of my sites

The fact that PBN sellers don't provide reports is complete bullshit! Eventually the links turn up in GWT it's only fair that we should be able to see what we purchased.

Thanks for making us aware of all this OP! Very helpful you saved me some money ;)

The whole marketplace is flawed, the only thing that matters is getting as many people to see your service thread as you can, to do that you need your thread to stay on top for as long time as you can, so sellers use various tactics to achieve that, it's not about the quality of the service but about doing just that, you can't stand a chance offering a really high quality service on PBNs that cost hundreds of dollars and are not scraped crap, because you won't make any profit if you don't have enough views on your thread. And the biggest flaw - it doesn't have a review system, that's one of the reasons why I've discontinued my link selling services on this platform, it's just not worth it.

Option A - Have sales threads ranked by review ratings and review counts so both buyers and sellers can get good value.
Option B - Have sales threads as they are now, threads staying on top that have most 'bumps', buyers having no way of knowing which services are the best, sellers competing only on price, thus people buying crap in most cases.

I agree, i spent thousands of dollars the the marketplace before but now it is the reason i created all my links manually. Changes must be made.

I agree with this. Considering the nature of the service I provide, I am unable to do any kind of "post in the thread and ask for coupon to get it" crap. Not sure how this is still allowed for example. You want to see some reviews in the thread and you have to go through 5 pages of "coupon plz" to even read a decent review from someone with account older than a few days.

I believe though that any thread review rating could be very easily manipulated, both negatively and positively. I believe that strict monitoring of sellers bumping their threads more often than 72 hours and disallowance of all those "ask for coupon" methods would be a place to start.

If it had a model like fiverr does, it would be way harder to manipulate, but that would require a lot of work from whoever owns the site.

That it would I am afraid.

There should be a system where buyers can see reviews directly and filter both negative and postive reviews to read them instead of scanning the whole freaking thread which is time consuming

Good luck leaving negative review on a service that just provided you links and knows your money site URLs. I've bought a service from someone I won't mention 1,5years ago, after 2-3months~ checked GWT 0 links out of 100 links~. So basically I was sold air, I won't risk leaving a negative review knowing that there's a chance the person could retaliate by destroying my money sites.

Well I never said that their BSTs should be closed permanently. I said that they should be paused until they prove themselves as innocent. At least it would save some people from getting scammed (if the sellers are really into scamming).

Anyways, it got cleared after reading BTB's reply on another thread. (Zwielicht quoted it in the post above yours) :)

Actually I think Xenforo has a simple addon that might work, similar to SEOClerks, will probably need some modding/coding work done to it.
https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xfa-rm-marketplace.4655/
https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xfa-forum-sales.5077/

At least that way all sales can be conducted on BHW and it should be possible to see fake buyers.

Maybe the only real solution will be to verify all sellers/members, but again would be a lot of work

I was originally not gonna post but imma put out my 2 cent :)
Lately i was looking for quite a few quality copywriting services aswell as social signals
i had to NOT exaggerating at all go through PAGES AND PAGES of "i want coupon" or "sample plz" or "i want review copy" (yes the thread been out likee 12031031 months ago and these ppl still asking for review copies like they are entitled to it). It is quite frustrating as a buyer to spend hours on end just to find 2-3 reviews outta a 50 page thread. (not including the initial reviews copies given out)
Luckily for social signal, i found @Nargil post so i went and bothered him about the service :p
As for copy writing, still looking !
and as for PBNs, yeah, that place is even more of a nightmare to actually find reviews.
I do understand, alot of people MAY not post any reviews at all but they are quite a few people who would post it if they are happy with the service. And for buyers like myself who goes looking around for a good service, reviews from on-going customers are the best judge. Not how good the infographic is, or how impressive the website is. or if the person is a mod, JR VIP or Premium member.
But i only stick to the trusted PBN sellers now (i have done business in the past and deemed great) for extra link juice :)
Others, i use for burn sites since... this shit happens way to much, using fiveer gigs and reselling pbn crap or just simply terrible pbn links.
