Introduction replies:
Although I'm most definitely still a new member here, I can't actually remember what happened when I signed up. As far as I can remember, new members are automatically sent a welcome PM - like most forums - however, these are often overlooked (At least when I signup to places I never read them)
My idea is to have a system that automatically replies to all new threads in the "
Introductions" section. By reiterating the rules that are most commonly broken (Selling outside of the marketplace and spamming). I think it would also be good if the reply contained some useful links like
@Zwielicht 's post about
Staying safe BHW and
this post by
@PHPInjected .
Fixing watched threads:
I've seen this discussed before and I remember
@Zwielicht (Once again) giving an awesome an in-depth reply as to the problem, although it's still not been resolved.
By looking at the "
Watched Threads" page I can see that there are a dozen-or-so threads that I watch that have been replied to today, however, NONE of them showed up on my alerts page. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but I really don't like it. I miss out on a lot of good shares this way and I'm sure others do too.
Two-step verification for old accounts:
I'm not sure if you've seen, but
@Neon and I always tag each other when we see really suspicious, old accounts that have posted their first ever post in three years or something (We suspect that they are bought accounts). I've raised this issue before and accounts are always quickly dealt with, however, I think that it would be a good idea to require people who log in on new devices to verify access through their email.
Exec VIPs having more power:
Now, there is no denying that
@Asif WILSON Khan is an incredible member, who offers a lot of helpful insight and often uncovers double accounts, scammers and so on; However, it really pains me to see him going to all this trouble of reporting spammers etc. When he could simply have the power to ban them, or at least temporarily block their access until a fully-fledged moderator/ admin comes along.
Theme fixes:
As
@Sherbert Hoover pointed out, there are quite a few floors with the white theme that makes it less desirable. I'm sure that there are some members here who have the know-how to be able to fix this quickly.
BSTs closed upon SL:
If a member has an open and active Shitlist thread against them, I think that automatically closing their BST (And possibly restricting posts in the Hire a freelancer section) would a) encourage them to resolve the situation a lot, lot faster and b) help other users stay safe.
Banned member colour:
This is another thing that I have seen mentioned before, but never acted upon. Having the same colour name as Mods, especially when they have the Jr.VIP badge underneath is incredibly confusing.
