PBN Or 301 Redirects ?

I want to buy some old domains with good metrics to help my moneysite up in ranking, now i have get some domains with good metrics, should i use as pbn or just do a 301 redirect, as i wont have much time to manage them in pbn, so will 301 work well

Turning it into a PBN is the safer and stronger option. 301s are a little risky and they lose their authority over time. A PBN will provide a contextual link (more valuable than a 301) and, assuming it's taken care of, will grow authority over time.

however, you can still use 301s als a T1

why do you say that? do i have to keep buying links for 301 more than a pbn ?

301 Redirect is good, because google can target PBN blogs with same keyword but its can never penalized redirect blog because it's necessary. Keep in mind that don't try more domain just 2..3

For one money site the amount of expired domains and the cost would be the same.
You can only point redirect domains toward one money site at a time.
If you have more than one money site that you want to rank with 301 redirects then that is where the extra expense comes in

I used to spend a ton of money every year managing PBN's and now I just use 301's.

My theory as to why it works as good, if not better for me is that there is a lot of "whois" and "about" domain pages on the internet and they are providing me with enough linkjuce to rank. It does not make sense as these sites do not have anything at all to do with my niche.

Also, I strongly believe that PBN's are kind of dead anyway, and your rank is mainly based on social network interaction.

Are you sure about this? Why would Google rank my moneysite higher when I got a link from site xy than when they find out xy IS my moneysite?
Shouldn't the latter be the stronger signal as almost all link juice should be passed through?

What are you guys thinking about setting a 301 blog along my money blog (make a 301 to money site) and then constantly linking both of them? Or that makes no sense?

If you use these domains to create PBN then it is better rather than just 301 redirect. PBN give the much power to your money site.

Unless you have a SUPER relevant and STRONG domain with 100-200 and much more RD, then yes. Otherwise, it's a PBN domain and don't even bother with 301 redirects, because in most cases, they will simply not work, even if you do everything correctly. Stop being impatient and expect more bang for the buck than you possibly can get and make a PBN out of those domains.
