We tested the moderation process in Facebook Ads by uploading 'clean' creatives to low-traffic placements. We conducted comparative tests with different verticals to assess the effectiveness of this approach.
Description of the Scheme
In this scheme, in addition to the main creative, a neutral one is used that will 100% pass moderation. It is uploaded to low-traffic placements, such as: Instagram Explore home, Messenger Inbox, Instagram Search results, Facebook Search results, Messenger Stories, Audience Network Native, Banner, and interstitial. These placements typically have minimal impressions, which does not significantly affect the overall spend. Let's break down the process step by step:- We create an ad campaign and add the main creative to the ad:
- We expand the placement, find the desired one, and click "Edit":
- We click "Change":
- Select the "clean" creative and click "Save":
- This way, add it to several placements and submit for moderation:
Effectiveness Check
We tested this scheme across different verticals. After the tests, it was noted that the effectiveness of the method depends on several factors: account trustworthiness, ad geo, domain freshness, etc. But overall, the scheme works — ads passed moderation faster and more efficiently with it.
