Paid for Amazon Reviews, am I safe?

I paid for amazon reviews, like 10. I'm new to the kindle scene, and thought it would be a good idea to just get a few so people can buy my books. I had launched a book before, and it had zero downloads (even when it was free!) I thought this is because of no reviews.

Now I realized that buying reviews was a mistake. I wanted to contact the fake reviews sellers and tell them to delete their reviews, but found already amazon had deleted some of the reviews that I bought.

Is amazon on to me? Am I on amazon's shitlist? Will they drop the visibility of future books in search, even if I do things legit?

I'd never buy Amazon reviews for a product I was selling there; the have too much oversight.

There are a ton of ways to get reviews that won't put your account in jeopardy.

I know. I will never buy reviews again. But am I safe though? Does amazon have me on a blacklist or something? That's what I want to know.

Nope. If Amazon finds out that you manipulated your BSR, you will most likely end up suspended. It's one of the big things Amazon has tried to clamp down on this year.

I have seen a lot of sellers who bought reviews or did giveaways for reviews that have been caught and suspended by Amazon. Once you're suspended, you are usually automatically suspended from opening new accounts.

I have seen a lot of sellers who bought reviews or did giveaways for reviews that have been caught and suspended by Amazon. Once you're suspended, you are usually automatically suspended from opening new accounts.

How can they find out?

Most low quality review providers don't care about footprints at all, which means that only one paid review has to be flagged in order to disable dozens of seller accounts. And since many providers have writers/VAs based in India, the reviews will have obvious broken English and Indian-specific phrases, increasing the flag rate significantly.

Paid reviews are a bad idea unless you have reviewers who will be doing a paid review exclusively for you and mix it up with real reviews for products they've bought themselves.

So I should contact the reviewer, and tell him to delete all the reviews he reviewed for my books? Would that save me?

I'm never doing paid reviews again, regardless how good the service is. It was a mistake.
