Wondering if anyone here has had any experience outsourcing their SEO to companies like boostability, or even fiverr? We have a home improvement business with competitors who don't have a great authority score in the area. We don't really have the time to do all the SEO ourselves and learn everything, so were looking to outsource it to a trustable source with tons of testimonies, like a big company such as WebFX. We are a small business though so WebFX would have too large of a budget for us, but does anyone have any pointers?

Fiverr is a terrible option.... terrible.
@ddv, if your goal is increasing your DA there are plenty sellers here that will offer you links that will change that for you.
You can find those sellers in the marketplace.

I work as a project manager for a company that would sort of consider WebFX a competitor.
For your situation I would recommend just finding a trustworthy person to make sure your on-page optimization is good, website loading fast etc. Keep working on your Google business profile trying to get more reviews.
If you want to do paid ads too, then look into Google Local Service Ads. They are a bit more pricey than well-optimized Google Ads campaigns, but in our experience it's consistent results that you can actually rely on.
Do you recommend any sellers specifically, its been a long time since I've been in the forum so I'm a tad bit skeptical. Have you had a good experience with these sellers?

Im thinking of going for this route: Buying a small package from boostability to get the on page optimization, keywords etc. Then buying from SakarSeo for 50 backlinks and 10 content written. And google ads. The one thing I am kind of skeptical on though is the 50 backlinks and 10 content written. Sakarseo is promising fast results and Im not sure if google will flag this as non organic to where it will work good for the first bit but make my SEO worse for the months to come. What do you think?

I will follow your recommendation you know a lot more than I, but im curious why you recommend against link building. You recommend building up a good yelp account instead?

I'm not against link building, I just recommend against it in your situation. From my experience, you will get a lot more customers per dollars spent if you avoid it for now. And I don't mean like building up the Yelp account, I mean in general get more links and profiles from similar sites.
Even though you didn't ask, I'll give my thoughts on link building for a local business site. But first, you need to think about the customer and what part of the buying cycle they are in. In this case, maybe only 3% of your total market is ready to purchase right now. And that's why you run the local service ads, to get the hyper-active buyer that is ready to go right now.
But what about the other 97% of the market? They are somewhere between not even knowing they have a problem, to researching how to solve their problem.
Once you are good with converting leads from ads, you start to build up your site with info that potential customers might be looking for when they are doing research about their problem.
That's where your link building should start. You will want some SEO juice to rank your info pages higher so that potential customers will read info on your site and they will be more likely to become a customer later on.
