A proper promotion strategy for OnlyFans can significantly impact earnings, optimize budgets, and distribute workload efficiently between the model and the affiliate marketer. To understand this better, we analyzed data from 1 million fans and are now sharing these insights with you.
We gathered statistics on the effectiveness of traffic sources, ROI, fan behavior on model pages, refund rates, subscription renewals, and other key metrics. At the end of this article, we summarize the findings of our analysis.
Key Figures
To evaluate long-term statistics, we analyzed 1 million fans—an optimal sample size to observe average trends.
These users generated the most transactions in the Messages category—1,383,252 transactions. The second-largest category was tips, with 537,386 transactions, followed by subscriptions (61,957 transactions). Renewed subscriptions accounted for 36,266 payments, while pay-per-view (PPV) content made up 26,884 purchases. The lowest transaction count was for streams—just 200.
The total transaction volume amounted to $2,045,944, with $412,823 (20.2%) coming from just 100 fans—which is only 0.01% of the total audience. The remaining 999,900 subscribers contributed 79.8% of revenue. Refunds accounted for $21,339, which is just 1.03% of total transactions.
This clearly highlights the importance of high-spending fans (often called whales) on OnlyFans. Each of these 100 top spenders contributed between $1,397 and $59,030. Interestingly, even a fan who spent $1,500 in total qualifies as a whale, placing them in the exclusive 0.01% category. This means they require extra attention. Chatter teams play a crucial role in maximizing earnings, as they build long-term relationships with subscribers.
Out of the 1 million fans, only 4.2% made a purchase, while 95.8% did not buy anything. Below, we’ll analyze how these numbers change depending on the traffic source.
Transactions were evenly distributed throughout the week without sharp spikes or declines. However, Saturdays saw the highest transaction volume (15.4%), while Wednesdays had the lowest (13.6%). The most active days were Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, whereas Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were the least active.
Traffic Sources: ARPU and Average Subscriber Cost
We divided the statistics between free pages and paid pages to determine which traffic sources perform better for each category.
Free Pages
Among fans who subscribed to free pages, traffic distribution was as follows: 147,718 from Twitter, 143,323 from Google, 57,979 from Reddit, 42,748 from OnlyFans GG Promo, 41,739 from Telegram, 32,511 from Instagram, 16,015 from Creator Traffic, 14,562 from Tumblr, 13,154 from TikTok, 10,614 from adult forums, and 10,538 from Snapchat. Additional statistics are available in the chart below.
One of the most important metrics for models and affiliate marketers is ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), which indicates how much revenue is generated per fan. We analyzed free pages to see how ARPU varies across different traffic sources.
The highest ARPU was recorded on YouTube ($5.9), followed by Creator Traffic ($4.2) and OnlyFinder ($3.9). Reddit and Tumblr showed identical ARPU at $3.4, while Telegram had the lowest at $0.9.
Paid Pages
To get accurate insights into user behavior on paid pages without distortions caused by promotions and discounts, we analyzed ARPU only from fans who paid for a subscription.
The highest ARPU was observed from Reddit ($88.1 per paid subscriber), followed by Creator Traffic ($81.8). In contrast, TikTok had a below-average ARPU of $22.5, similar to Instagram at $23.5. The lowest ARPU was recorded on YouTube at $13.7.
This suggests that driving traffic from TikTok to a paid page may not be the best strategy, whereas Reddit can yield significantly better results.
It is crucial to remember that a model’s page content also influences these metrics. If the page is cluttered with promo posts and SFS (Shoutout for Shoutout), it may negatively affect ARPU, ROI, and other performance indicators.
Average Subscriber Cost (CPL) and Percentage of Non-Buying Fans
We analyzed the percentage of fans who made no transactions across different traffic sources. The lower this percentage, the better the source. For instance, TikTok performed best, with only 77% of fans making no purchases, while Telegram and Creator Traffic had the highest percentage of inactive fans at 98%.
In addition to RevShare, some platforms allow purchasing fans on a CPL (Cost Per Lead) basis.
On average, the cost per fan was $0.5 from Twitter, $1.4 from Google, $1.3 from OnlyFans GG Promo, $1.0 from Reddit and Instagram, $0.9 from TikTok, $0.5 from adult forums, and $0.8 from YouTube.
Fan Behavior and Lifespan on a Model’s Page: LTV and Average Lifespan
We analyzed 30,000 users who made transactions to understand key behavioral patterns. Most fans stop engaging after the second day—50.3% (11,870 users). Another 29.5% (6,960 fans) made purchases on the first day but then disappeared. Only less than 5% remained active for more than 10 days. The average lifespan of a fan on a model’s page was 44.85 days.
Next, we examined the time between subscription and first purchase. 35.6% (10,688 users) made their first purchase on day one, but the highest purchase rate occurred on day two (52.2%, or 15,344 fans). Interestingly, some fans made their first purchase after 400 days, though this accounted for less than 1% of all users.
On paid pages, fans renewed their subscriptions in 18.4% of cases.
Sales Funnel Analysis: CTR, ROMI, and Other Metrics
Now, let’s break down the sales funnel and examine CTR (Click-Through Rate), ROMI (Return on Marketing Investment), conversion rates, and dialogue costs across traffic sources.
CTR: Measuring Ad Effectiveness and Audience Interest
CTR indicates how effectively users from different traffic sources subscribe to a page. In simple terms, it measures the click-to-subscription rate, helping to better understand audience behavior and preferences. For this analysis, we used data only from free model pages.
The highest CTR was recorded for OnlyFinder (52.13%), followed by Creator Traffic and OnlyFans GG Promo. The lowest CTR was seen in PopUnder (0.38%) and PreRoll ads (0.25%).
CTR depends on whether users from a particular source already have an OnlyFans account. For instance, OnlyFinder is a dedicated model directory, meaning its audience is highly targeted, leading to a high CTR.
Conversion Funnel from Subscription to Purchase
To visualize an average sales funnel, we tracked 1 million fans through different stages. Of these, 172,553 fans started a chat, 32,800 made their first purchase, 17,199 made a second purchase, and only 4,079 fans reached their fifth purchase.
Conversion rates: 17.19% of fans started a chat, 3.27% made a first purchase, 1.71% made a second purchase, and only 0.41% reached their fifth purchase.
Final Thoughts
According to statistics, TikTok stands out as the top-performing traffic source due to its high conversion rate and ROI. It also has the lowest percentage of fans who don’t make purchases. However, the cost per dialogue is significantly higher than other sources at $14.33.
Other strong performers include Creator Traffic and Reddit, which both demonstrate high ARPU and strong conversion rates. In contrast, Facebook appears to be the least profitable source, with low CTR (4.84%), low conversion rates, and the highest dialogue cost ($14.95).
