I don't think it will happen in near future
At the rate they are killing their app I think it will personally, if a new and better platform comes along and gets a mass amount of popular users to join and advertise
They are killing their platform for Us not for the users who use Instagram to connect with friends and brands. If we see, Instagram is becoming better for the daily users...What do you say?!
It's getting killed for influencers/popular users also, and I dont think it's becoming better for daily users as I see everyone complaining about all the ads stuffed in every corner of the platform, not being able to see some people's posts on home because it's no longer chronological, etc.

Just because you cant run your bots that doesnt mean IG is dying.
Thats what they said about fb years ago. iG is going to take its place etc etc.
The problem is the botters and influencers. People are getting sick and tired of the countless bot accounts following them, me included.
Internet Marketers are ruining the platform.

You hit the nail on the head. Instead of creating something long term, he is waisting his time botting (makes good money regardless)
But if your business falls apart because IG pushed an update then its time to rethink things.
Same for all those GMB sellers that are popping up. Now that google knows the problem you can expect the exploit to be patched and then their business will fall apart too. Doesnt mean they cant make good money in the process.

Users will get bored and leave the platform if things continue. IG is not listening to its fan base! Things like chronological feed has been asked for sooooo many times and not given. Why? Money. Ads everywhere and you can not have an ordered feed. IG will die off just like Facebook is dying. It will take years but it will eventually happen. A newer, fresher platform will rise and people will jump on it.
