Hi guys, I've been building authority sites for almost 5 years but I never build big magazine authority site like this so I have one question... This is a huge Magazine authority site with many topics and categories. I have prepared over 1000 articles, so my question is can I put for example every day 50 new articles, is it ok with Google? Because neither of big magazine sites didn't start with 10 articles on their website, when they opened website they had already more than 100 articles, so when user comes he see a lot of good stuff...

Your opinion? Thank you

I have a community site and I get about 100-700 articles submissions from my members daily, haven't had any problems so far, 50 a day shouldn't be any problem.

Thanks, many people mentioned some google manual penalty if they see you put many articles in one day... They say it looks unnatural

In my case, I have about 1700 registered members, so I guess Google can see that, also, every submission is under different names so I'm safe, but if your content is original, I don't see why there should be a problem, but again, I've never tried doing it myself.

Yeah, content is original. I just have to put it on my site and publish.... But I was wondering if they are looking the time, for example one post is published 8am, one 8.10, another 8.20 etc... Is that a problem?

Don't see why it would be a problem, but again, I'm no expert in this so I couldn't be of more help.

I don`t have an authority site yet, but I`d start with 15-30 and increase the number of articles every week.

well you can try scheduling them at random times, i am not sure how much different that will make though

Scheduling is not an option for me because the site is like I said covered with many categories and must have many articles when users start to come because it must look like a real magazine website...

There's nothing to worry about if your content is unique. I posted 30 articles all at once and the Google bots went to my site with full throttle and ranked a few of those articles in the front page within 24 hrs.

Google crawlers will love to crawl your site with all those fresh content. Go ahead and push that start button.

Thank you mate... That is what I wanted to hear :)

If you're afraid, you should just post 5-10 a day for a few days and then start posting a lot. But I also don't see a problem by posting good and unique content.

When I started my site, I had 100 uploaded right off the back. It's ranking fine, just a brand new domain so taking a little longer.

As long as the content is unique there should not be a problem.

I add 60-80 articles / day on one of my main sites and I didn't had any problem. I am quite happy as Google indexes it pretty fast and I get to see some rankings without building any links to specific articles.

Fresh content is a good thing when it comes to authority sites.

I would start with 50-60 published and then spread the rest out over the next year.. It is better to have a site updated daily even with one or two posts then the first couple of months with 50 per day and then the updating stops. Just my opinion anyways ;)

I agree, but I will continue to publish min 20-30 articles per day...

If this site is not a "real" magazine but a money site in the form of an authority site, then the only tweak I'd make to that is to setup a different persona for each section and let that "person" post those articles.

I ran a real local news website with multiple staff writers and regardless of the ups and downs in numbers of articles published, it never failed to rank for the subjects of the articles. That's the activity you want to emulate with any magazine authority site. :thumb:

BTW, which CMS are you using for your site, if I may ask?

over 1000 articles ? that's awesome man, we also sell authority , but never through about 1000 articles :D

It's not a money site (well every site is money site, because you're trying to earn some money through the site but it is very infomative and later I will put only adsense), and I'm using wordpress, Im always using it...
