New Google Update - Where the Hell is Everyone's Professionalism?

Well, this has been a great discussion and am happy to have taken part. Now I must go take a shit.

till now i did not see any effect on any of my websites. All are ranking good till now.

We all know examples of what happens after a business starts to put scaling and profits before its customers... It's a fact that the new g updates left a lot of 2003-2005 created pages on the front page and fresh and new info got penalized. Doesn't seem like a smart thing to me!

Also, weren't things really working for google? Like even the algorithm 2 years ago was okay and everyone was using g and it was growing fast. Why those changes? Maybe mat can explain this in great detail. Even if the update did make 10A% of search queries better, is that worth creating a million people who now hate on you?

I don't know who is on the advisory board of g but it does seem obvious that they should move into a direction to make more and more people love them..the search results were awesome..leave that as it is. Meanwhile focus on awesome stuff, like the new g self-driving car, creating other cool stuff like g earth and so on.

I think what the OP was trying to say is:

"Google changed the algo and now I'm delisted. This is how I'm going to regain my rankings and make record profits next quarter"

Posts are a lot more helpful and beneficial to the community than:

"Google fucked me and now I'm out of business forever, fuck Matt Cutts!" Posts.

Makes sense to me.

Just because you are entitled to something, doesn't mean you have to take advantage of it.

None of the complaining is going to help you, its not getting your rankings back and you're preaching to the choir since everybody seems to have been affected one way or the other over here.
What is there to do? Well like always with a update either work around the penalties and find new methods to rank or start from scratch. Hey...or lets keep yelling at google, perhaps it will show some results in a couple of weeks.

of time and money to build sites then be like "o well" is retarded. The search results are obviously crap and just because in your little world you weren't affected, many of us that work extremely hard to have quality sites killed overnight is fukd up.

You need to go into politics OP.

As far as i am concerned everybody here has the right the vent their frustrations, within the rules obviously.
Thats what i think its normal in the real world and therefore i think its also normal on this forum...

Sure the forum has been slapped with heaps of stress but hey, we are people right?

Sadly there's a lot of people that dosen't understand what a business is and what it takes to succeed.

I'm fighting to keep my ranking since late January. At first it felt like the sky fell down on me (my business in generating about 20k/month). February was HELL as I wasn't use to be lower then #1 since 2010. I regained my #1 spot till 2 days ago. Luckly I went down just 3 places and even though I'm seeing massive drops in my sales, I'm thinking like this: If the bitches that are in front of me in the serps can do it, that I surely can do better.
You gotta fight! If you did it once, you can do it again.

Alright, I'll be in the minority on this one... but the main problem everyone that gets hit is only a single one: "betting on one horse"...
Thats what gets you crushed. And once in a time, the risk of setting all bets on one horse was a good idea... when manipulating google serps was easy to do.

Now what happens is that it gets more and more difficult, at least in my eyes, that means more work for less revenue (in relation to the work, and in relation on how the ratio was in the past)...

So now many more people are getting screwed with each algo update, while its getting more difficult then before to rank. the ratio between work:reward and the risk to count on ONE horse, google, does not add up anymore. at least for me. Any many still that stubborn to realize this only get pissed more, cause they still slam their heads against the wall, doing more work for less profit, and even less stability.

Hell, I'd complain too if I have to increase the work I put into manipulating serps just to find out that google caught on and everything was for nothing. lol.

The point here is... have proper money management, as they say in trading. Meaning: disversify your traffic sources. focus less on google, more on other search engines, or better yet, on social media traffic, or on traffic from other websites...

and all the friggin work I used to spend on spinning, and link spamming, link wheel building bla bla bla I do now spend on those ideas, and since it is LESS WORK... I can concentrate a lot more on building authority sites with actual QUALITY CONTENT... lol. kind of an irony, if you ask me. And for me, that plays out. And its more fun then to do the stupid spamming game anymore. Although, if you have the money, can outsource everything, and test a lot of different strategies to keep up with the google game, it might be still worth it... but how many of us actually are in this position? I bet below 1% of this forums users.

Why keep on whining and more and more about this update? What's done is done, All we have to do is observe the current flow and think of new things to go with it.

I am abit sick of these posts telling people to suck it up also. you are like the 10th I have seen. Yes we get it! I kind of want all posts about the update to stop, whining or no whining.

Maybe we need a section on the forum for rants? There are plenty of people for and against openly complaining about serps and or google. Lets have a section where all of those people can duke it out all day against each other and it can stay hidden from the rest of us that are here to make money. They get what they want, the rest of us get what we want. It's win win!
