Hi. I'm the co owner of a clothing company and wanted to ramp up on internet marketing. I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on how to do this. So i have a couple questions

1. how do i become an affiliate?

2. what would be the going rate for some seo type work?

3. is there any advice on where i should get started and who i should work with?

1. Can you please clarify? Do you mean how you can find people to sell on your behalf through affiliate marketing?

2. It varies widely and depends on your budget and how competitive the industry is. A rule of thumb for an SEO agency in the US might be $3,600 for the first month and $800 per month. But again, it varies depending on your goals and how competitive a niche it is.

3. We'd be happy to chat with you further on this if the above is in your budget range. Otherwise there are a lot of good providers here on BHW.

we actually use a cartel site! but besides that yes how would i go about finding people to sell on my behalf, and i wouldn't be willing to work with an agency/perhaps an individual because the price would be lower

I would love to know how you came up with those arbitrary numbers and pricing model, it's not remotely accurate...

Yeah numbers are off. What sort of advertising are you targeting? I know some people in the US that charge as little as a $50 maintenance fee per month, with around $250 for a Facebook & Google ad campaign.

It's not arbitrary at all. It's what our agency charges on a regular basis, on average. Some clients may be more, some may be less. So I speak from real world experience.

My advice, OP - It's probably in your best interest to read up on the beginner's guide to SEO first. If you have any further questions on SEO, this board is here to assist you in any particular issues that you are facing.

I would guess that those prices are what most SEO consultancies charge, whose clients range from Forbes top 50 companies to local mom & pop diners - with the median being those 4 price ranges due to the Small to Medium Enterprises.

Remember, Moz.com sells products for SEO's. Those that they surveyed are people in the industry, that ALSO pay for Moz's products. Do you think that there might be some conflict of interest, or at least skewed responses?

OP is a startup clothing company. He's going to need to wear many hats, and not be afraid to trade his time for knowledge. Read up OP, and we'll help you out with any specifics you get hung up on. Good luck in your journey.
