Hello guys I am in the process of creating directory listing sites and have so far not done must for seo but add my site to google webmaster tools and added to seo yoast plugin. I have people writing articles for me which I am sure that I know 90% of the seo tactics I must follow when I start to load those articles on my website. My problem know is the directory listings. At the moment I am adding directory listings each day, but these listings do not have much content, besides getting normal backlinks for them I thought why not install an autoposter plugin to post all those directory listings to my facebook and twitter account each day after I have finished uploading listings.

Does anyone have any advice regarding that, I know that google now loves things to look natural, so I am a bit scared to upload all of my new listings to fb or twitter every day. On the other hand my website needs traffic and it's going to be hard to build backlinks for 150 pages of directory listings. Can anyone give me indication to the amount of time I should wait before start doing this/autoposting the listings?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you can schedule your autoposter then that would be great, adding daily is acceptable and natural for G as of now. Just divide your work/day so there won't be unnatural signal that G might detect. Just think natural and of course, act natural. As you may know, link building must look natural in Google's eyes and you'll know your way from there.

Yeah I am really trying build this website to meet google's expectations! - Thank you for the confirmation!

I see a lot of guys building directories and failing. Unless your site is really unique and you have a big budget to promote the site, its likelihood of failure is high.

Also, why use a directory when there are search engines...? I mean really, how many people do you see using DMOZ or even Yahoo Directory anymore?

Honestly, in 2013 I wouldn't bother even creating a directory site. They're a thing from the past IMO
