Need hosting recommendation

Hello, I am looking for hosting recommendation for my blog. I was looking at 1and1 and the whole internet is against them haha. I wanted to get bluehost but I am a bit short of startup funds. Then wanted to get namecheap but people say that namecheap hosting is not good. They are good for domain registers only.

What would you all recommend for a cheap reliable hosting?

Typically, how much do you think a blog needs? Hostgator says 250,000 files is the quota. Its enough right?
 
How many websites you are planning? what type of website (content or images) and platform?
 
Vultr is a good option. They offer vps, though, no cpanel. Starting at 2.5/month - 512mb ram.

It will be a full blog. As of now only 1. And it will have good amount of contents and images.

I suggest you to go for 'value' or 'Professional' in namecheap if you are budget is low. It will be sufficient for newbies. It will be cheaper in namecheap.
 
Plans from a2hosting.com and hostround.com are worthwhile.
Plans are full of useful resources and uptime is high and support is fast and prompt.
 
Namecheap is cheap, and is recommended for beginners. If you got good budget, go for HostGator and pay for 3 years using discount coupon codes.
 
InMotion Hosting also seems to be good. Check various plans and reviews before you go for one.

krishnaverma, just so that you know, (and those who don't know) Hostgator was bought out by *EIG and they have slowly been migrating over to the EIG proprietary platform, which is a MAJOR step down from cPanel. Consequently, I would not recommend Hostgator. I've had accounts with HG since 2002, but I am migrating [ALL] of those accounts and websites to another host.

Over the past 2 weeks I have been monitoring the websites I'm currently hosting on HG and the site load latency has been HORRENDOUS!

NameCheap for sure

I needed a quick cheap basic site and used award space. I am impressed, site loads quick and support was quick. Plus they are cheaper than chips.
