Hey guys,
I want to create awareness to a new product using social networking sites. I want to sell my product through online. Can anyone teach me some basics and guide me to success...

Since its seems to me that you are quite new in this, you should hire someone, if you got money that is .

If not then , well , you need to learn. And this is not as easy as it seems. It will take time, testing,trials and experiments.
No one will be able to tell you: take step A , step B, step C and done.
I will have a look for some books or courses that will help you to learn.

P.S What is your product if you dont mind sharing. Because it obviously depends on the product you are promoting. If its awesome ,selling will be easy. If it is crap, it will be harder. Plain and simple.
 
The product is of b2b kind and i just want to create awareness first among people. I came to know that social networking sites are much effective and cost less. I want to create a community or a group in a social networking site and add quite a decent number of people in a short time. You guys out there can also help me with some marketing ways which are cost effective...

I've got degrees in Theology, Philosophy, Psychology and I scored more than 160 on the Mensa Acceptance test.

Now how does that help you?
 
Ok, I'm curious, what would you be offering b2b but trying to create demand/awareness via consumer?

Usually if it's B2B you want to target them not the consumers. Depending upon the item being sold -- your product could lose credibility or interest if consumer is targeted first. Like any other niche the B2B community wants to believe that a product or service is specific to their needs and wants.

As enrikole mentioned, you may want to hire a professional who understands niche marketing and social marketing (not to mention direct marketing). It could save you a lot of headaches and lost profit and time in the long run.
 
B2B people already being targeted and working on selling the product to them yet I want to create awareness to the consumers without spending money, just like using facebook and other similar social networking sites...
 
I understand your need for secrecy at the moment. We all must protect our concepts the best we can. Can you at least divulge what kind of product it is or what it would be used for or the benefits of it's use?

This way some of us may be able to provide you with more concrete information as to how to use social networking to accomplish what you want to accomplish.

After all, once you start using the social networks you're going to be divulging this type of information any ways since you want to bring awareness to the consumer.

Ummm but @ OP....if you want to learn the BASICS....why need a GENIUS??? o_O
 
First of all, you need to hace some basic knowledge about online selling...for that purpose, u can consult some expertise or u can download any e-book or tutorial regarding e-selling...
secondly, there are several PTC (Paid-to-click) sites on which u can advertise about ur product...Finally for the payment procedure...u can use Pay-Pal...as evryone know its a verified Source for payment..
 
it doesnt take a genius to figure out that if you send me everything in your paypal I'll make you a millionaire :D
