It is always harder for the one who was left. You should follow her example, and go out. I wouldnt drink too much, because that can end in sending several drunken messages to her, which is neither good for you, nor for her.

She won't tell you why, because she doesn't wanna hurt you. The more you push her, the more she will ignore you. Let's face it, You got dumped because you was oversensitive. If you want her back (I don't recommend this), start acting like a man, don't accept the friend zone. Tell her goodbye and walk away from her. She will keep testing you, whether you crawl back to her anytime she contacts you. If you respond to her immediately, she will keep ignoring you while going out with other men. Why wouldn't she anyway? You are the guaranteed option for her. Don't show her any weakness. Make her believe that she fucked up and she will never see you again. But you won't accomplish this by being her butler.
I suggest you to invest in yourself. Read a few books on this topic, get educated. You suck at relationships, because you never learned anything about them. Stop acting like a sensitive girl and be a man. Chicks want real men, not butlers.
 
i been in the same situation and it hurts but time does hell , i promise .

becouse you been in relationships long time . it time to think about your self .

you and ex girlfriend was willing to give a separation a go, so deep down there was things you didnt like she was doing in genral.

the truth is you was interlaced with eachover so you didnt get to no your self , you was very young getting to no your self .

it might hurt for a while but getting to no what you really want in a relationship will help you understand why this ant for you, a relationship right know.

got to remember as narsty as it sounds no one owns no one, at any time a person in a relationship can sleep or kiss anyone, there no laws in relationships, it all based on trust .

your eventually relise at least you had broken up, and not cheated on .

it hard but it better to no when young she wasent for you.

Don't talk to her anymore, become more successful and go bang some other chicks. She will come back to you with apologies and all that in no time. DO NOT get back with her though, she made her choice don't settle for being plan b.

You should always keep some side girls for situations like this, it will save you headaches in the future. Or better yet don't even have an official "girlfriend" that way there is no "breaking up".
 
It really sucks man. Went through the same thing last year.
Guess you just have to accept it. I saw some other user here recommend taking a trip - that sounds like a great idea. Get your head thinking about something else.

Here's the deal. If this guy that she is dating at the moment just fucks up a little bit.. then she will get back to you. Why? Because after six years of relationship there is a big emotional bond between both of you. For Girls its easy to find the next guy. But you know what they don't do? They don't learn from the relationship because once the next is on their doorstep they will get such an egoboost that they think like "Oh i can have anyone, i don't need ..." - But here's the deal, eventually this guy will fuck up. Dude, she came out of a 6 yr relationship. She is gonna send him so much mixed signals. So what you want to do is to stop all contact with her, and live your life. No more contact, no more facebook status like or Instagram likes, nothing. It's almost as if she is dead to you. Everything else you do is just gonna open up old wounds again.

I still love her and she knows that, but she is acting now like she is hurt for some reason and like her feelings are hurt etc and she wants something new....i know for sure that people from work told her that this is good and that she should move on, even though that is not their business because i am not like that...

I feel like someone told her to do this and she is acting all weird etc, because in this period when we were together, neither of us cheated that was for sure...like i said we had fights like all couples do but never to this point. And she broke this somehow saying okay listen it is better if we are on pause...and we were and then she said no no i meant break up there is no pause bla bla and like she is over more, like for months she was preparing etc...My only thought is that for months she was maybe seeing or talking with that other guy or with someone else but she didn't tell me that or i don't know, my head is in mess now :(

Anyhow, i wanted to share this with you, since lot of you have similar feelings and similar past relationships and i really want to hear what you have to say.

Brother, I know how that feels because I have been in that situation before and I quickly learned this:

Boy (with good money) = Girls will come running to you. You won't believe me now but trust me that is the way how it is.
Boy (with low or medium money) = You HAVE to waste your time chasing for her acceptance.
Boy (with low or medium money after acceptance) = You will always have to cater to her wants and needs and will always have to say sorry first even tho if it's not your fault! She will craete tantrum on little problems. Too much headache.

There's a saying - Never run behind a TRAIN, BUS, and a GIRL, because when one goes, another comes! ;)

I know what you are going through right now and it was a lot worse for me, but know this man - She was NOT "actually" meant for you.
She is a guy hopper! :)

Wait for someone who is actually for you brother and don't get frustrated and think you need a GF right now and waste time thinking about things that ain't gonna happen. Wait for sometime and good things will happen. Give it some time. The wait IS always worth at the end.

In the meantime, go read some entrepreneur books if you haven't already and take a chill pill, go out with friends, go to a bar and have fun. :)

As for @ShiningWarrior , let me correct you... THERE STILL EXIST a real and serious relationship. I'm having it and my parents have it and anyone both of me and my partner's relatives are having it. Nope, they are not pre-arranged, but they are getting married the right way, not because the girl is pregnant or whatever. NEVER divorced or separated. You probably is screwing whoever you met, but deep inside it's not gonna give you an inner satisfaction. For now, you can't understand it, but soon, when found someone you can settle in, you will.
