Hi Guys

So After getting 120K followers and a lot of spamming with satellite accounts I got my main site Banned.

I used to get like 2k daily visitors to my website only from pinterest and one day I lost all of that traffic, since this site has more traffic sources I did not wanted to kill the domain. So I gave up the pinterest traffic and after almost 3 months I saw re-surge on traffic from pinterest...it was only luck but it can be replicated.

Here Is what I did:

  • I changed the name of the profile.
  • I deleted the meta tag that they use to verify the web page.
  • I deleted the web page from the profile page.
  • I did NOT deleted any pin. I just re-oder everything in new boards, also I created new boards.
  • I stop the repining from the satellite accounts, only for that domain.
  • I did not use the account for almost 3 months.

And one day my traffic was back and when you click my pins you don't get the nasty spam warning.

Now What I'm doing is replicating on another domain! hope you can give it a try and also inform back!

This seems like possibly a coincidence. Please let us know if your next test reveals the same results though as this kind of information is definitely priceless to many of us here.

I certainly hope you are correct about this as a viable recovery mechanism OP.

Be interesting to see if you can continually do this - as davers already stated it could be pure coincidence. Do keep this thread updated with any new info.

Sounds like you found a loophole somehow, or there is an expiration on the limitations they had on the account. You got lucky! Make sure to treat that account with respect now because it's probably on some type of blacklist. Instead of mass spamming your site over and over again, make sure to post other sites also; this will make it look more natural. Doing this may not bring as much traffic, but it's better to keep your traffic sources.

So a little update, as @Tompots said I should treat that account with respect...But I did no read his advice on time.

My domain got Banned and un-banned again, that I think it proves this was not a coincidence, I think we found a correlation. So this is what I did after the main post:

  • I changed the name of the account to the original one, the one that got banned the first time.
  • I added back the domain to the profile.
  • I confirmed the website via the meta tag.
  • I did some spaming

After 1 day, the domain was banned and all the traffic drop.

So In order to experiment I did the following:

  • I deleted the web site from the profile.
  • I deleted the meta tag.
  • I did keep the name of the profile.
  • I did not spam anything :(

And guess what?! Un-Banned! Trafic is back!

With the other domain that Im trying to do same I did not had any response, I think It has something to do with the size of the account, in the main account I have 420K monthly viewers and 15k engaged.

Hope you guys try this out!!
