[METHOD] QUIZ SITE BREAKDOWN

So, you are using gifs or video in your ads, is that right?
What about copyright?
Can I use gifs from Star wars to promote quiz site?
I make the gifs so copy right isnt an issue, i also dont use copyrighted material like starwars in general

soooooo, it's still possible to get $0.04 CPCs USA traffic? interesting. i would assume 8 cents per landing page view then, not bad. i may actually make one of these quiz sites. like put it together in a day, start with 1 quiz. then make the facebook ad. OP if i don't get less than 0.10 cost per clicks USA right off the bat then i'm holding it on you lol

Dont hold me to your bad guess at targeting lol

still going strong with facebook op?
Sorta. The hooligan media fiasco that went down that got the owner banned here didnt do any favors for the site, shortly after he got banned I received a notice that my traffic had been flagged as invalid and I would not be paid. No explanation was given to me upon request and I was told to remove the ads. So I moved over to exoclick and have had alright results. I unfortunately cant reccomend using hooligan media for ads. Which is bad for me cause if you do the math on how much I spent on ads to have an roi of 0 on that is rage inducing.

So yes I am still on this fb ad train, just differently than before.

well, that sucks to hear. glad you shared your experience, so others following that road will be careful. say, can't you just invest and ramp up the ads to get more traffic and apply to more premium networks? for example, ezoic has very reachable pageview requirements for a quiz site. monumetric will take you as long as you pay the initial 100usd fee and have half your traffic from tier 1 or something like that. even adthrive isn't out of reach if you want to invest a little (starting requirement is 100.000 pageviews). they may be more strict with quizzes sites (or not, idk), but it may be a good option on the future.

I've applied for ezoic. Awaiting response. Traffic was well in their thresholds.

i guess bruh. i've done some facebook ads + dropshipping before. gonna just do the standard single interest ad groups, so if quiz is about cars then 1 adset with interest toyota, next adset honda, etc

as for the rest of the settings: ad budget campaign, optimize for landing page views, traffic objective, english(all), automatic placements, start with lowest cost bidding then maaaaybe transition to bid caps

will use funny/meme gifs as the creative, ad text saying what my quiz is about, a compelling headline, and i guess that's it

not sure what else could do to get those low CPCs. is this similar to your set up?

So my niche is auto and i usually do super car quizzes. So i targeted supercar brands that appear in the quiz and then use pixel data to optimize it.

Just had a quick read through and I'm struggling to see how this is profitable...

You said it cost you $0.04 to get someone to your website from Facebook ads and that your CPM was $1.5 from hooligan media.

I must have missed something but doesn't that mean you're spending $40 to get 1,000 people to visit your website but your only getting paid $1.50 in return.

Or does each visitor average like 30 page views or something?

Can you elaborate more on this? I'm quite confused.

You are assuming each person sees 1 ad, but it's a quiz site. Each person sees around 20 pages. Each page shows around 3 ads, so each person gets shown around 60 ads (no idea what are op's specific numbers, but you get the idea)

Each user sees anywhere from 60 to 100 ads and I made a plugin to refresh ads if they stay on page longer than 15 seconds. Maybe thats where hooligan media came at me with invalid traffic, hasnt been a problem with my new ads yet though. Theres also affiliate links baked into start page, questions, and summary
how about facebook ad settings?
USA only, show it to everyone before optimization. Then use FB pixel to start optimizing. Expect CPC to be ~0.10 to 0.15 before optimizing with your pixel data.

i will test it out. i personally don't believe in the "sending social signals" and shet this like to the site before starting any ads. would rather just start ads from the beginning. 0.15 USA CPC starting from ground zero is still really fucking good

Each person gets anywhere from 60 to 100 ads. Worst case everyone only sees 60 so i would need 17 people to get 1k views. 17 * 0.04 = 0.68.
0.68 < 1. Means i make a profit even in worst case with no affiliate links, but i also use clickbank freebie affiliate offers to boost my profits.

Have you ever got a sale on Clickbank? I've tried putting Clickbank freebies at the end of each quiz, but without much success.

I've gotten 24. And thats with putting them in the front of the quiz, in some questions and at the end. I wouldnt call it my money maker but its nice to have lol. I also push a LOT of traffic.
