Prepare some engaging content and schedule posts in the group - find niche related/viral images, videos, ask questions, etc.
At the beginning, you will have to invest more in content creation. After a while, the members will start engaging on their own, and all you will have to do is accept members, and promote your offers.

To remind them go to ‘Members - Invited’. You will see the whole list of people you already invited. You can send a reminder manually by clicking on 3 dots + Send Reminder.

To automate this process I use a Chrome extension called ‘Send reminder to group invites for Facebook™’. I’m in NO WAY associated or affiliated with them. Before using any tool always do your due diligence!

Here is how to set up this tool. You should skip at least 30-50 people to not remind them too fast.

I've been using Facebook pages for years. Facebook groups are a strong marketing platform for many different products and services to achieve great success! I don’t know how to maintain a group effectively. There are lots of ideas and plans but I don't know whether they work or not.

Hope the above-mentioned tips might help me in running a successful Facebook group! thanks for this detailed post.

Since the facebook changes it seems you can only send invite reminders to a user once. How are u guys managing this? Do u just remove the invitation after a specific time? Has anyone been able to work out if its still possible to send multiple reminders to someone you invited.?
 
It was very useful and practical. I will save and learn in the future :D
 
I wonder if it's possible to generate income by creating a fan page? If yes, how? Can someone enlighten me?

Use your fanpage to grow facebook groups, get emails from group members and then do email marketing

Does anyone else consider FB groups as being the new "email list"?

Tbh, I have more engagement from past FB groups than I had from hard-earned email lists.
