10 posts per day with a FB account is a little ambitious unless the account has some age (a couple of years or so) and some aged and constant activity.
Friends are not really required although you may want to add some to look realistic in order to be able to join groups in which to post.
Yes, FB will notice if your account has no other activity so you need to be liking, commenting, posting on your timeline, etc. Almost no real person would just post in groups and not do the other stuff in FB's eyes.
thanks. oh and how much does the post have to vary? Do i just need different posts for every account, or should the text of every single post have to be different?
And do i need to hide the links somehow so that facebook crawlers can't follow them?
Facebook is going to follow the links unless you are cloaking and I don't think that cloaking is your cup of tea, especially trying to cloak for FB as they can be a tad tricky.
Send the people you are targeting to a site or landing page you control and then have content on the site that sells for you and links to your offers.
