So, yesterday I took some time and worked the share in a thread started by Trepanated (Trepanated's Thread) last week.

Just so you are aware, I'm not a social media guy at all... do not interact a lot there and have very little experience turning the time spent there to money in my pocket. I just don't do that and when I was talking to a friend that knows me well, he was very surprised that I am delving into this medium.

Originally I played with it a couple of times and earned "Take my wife out to breakfast" money, which was nice but not the sort of projects I typically work on as I prefer more long term sustainable methods that are more "Take my wife out to Ruth Chris" money.

I had thought about the idea some since he posted it a couple of weeks ago since it was such easy money and kicked around the idea of how I could turn this into a method I could clean out any issues and tweak, automate it and then fold into my current revenue streams.

For me to add any methods that I will work consistently they have to be able to be automated as that is the easiest way to make any real money in the IM industry and I'm pretty lazy so it is a prerequisite.

First though, I ALWAYS operate on a manual basis so that I can see what actually works and what is just spinning my wheels and although I don't often share my wheel spinning failure ideas, I have more than my fair share. Sharing them though is a waste of time as we rarely learn from others' failures as much as we learn from our own.

First thing I did when Trepanated originally posted was to slap together some copied content onto that site page, throw in some CPA links and spam FB with just the page. That was OK, made some money, and would probably work until the cows come home but it would not generate the next level of money unless you hit a zillion pages.

So, I did the following:

1) Bought some domains with the domain names the niche I was going to target. I had some CPA offers that I know convert with targeted traffic and used KWs for the domain that are associated with the offers. I'm no genius as that is just common sense and I am sure it helped with the CTR to the site from FB.

2) Set the domains up with content and images. Images are important as they show up in a FB post usually and the first paragraph of content has to be a little compelling as FB will post a snippet of your content usually too. I have about 400 words on a landing page with images that relate to the offer and 4 different times I ask them to click through. They look a little spammy to me as I'm not a guy that does those kinds of pages but I know what is required to make a decent lander and multiple requests for the "click" is important.

3) Wrote up 20 different lead ins for the posting. Posting just the url is lazy for starters and not a presell and you need to presell this to get the most out of your posting on FB. If you are going to just post the url I promise you won't have any where near as an effective campaign and if you are doing this for money (why else would you spam FB) you want to take the extra few minutes and do it right.

4) I would post the lead in and the url in each post rotating the lead ins so there was no "Charlie posted this in here and on 47 other pages" or whatever that message actually is. That is a sure sign that people will see spam and not click through when they see it from FB as much. You need to have several lead ins that you can rotate for your posts or you'll get those messages.

5) I posted to the 50 different groups 3 times a day - First thing in the AM, around noon or so and near the end of my work day about 5:00 PM or so. I did this all manually so it was a bit of a pain as I had 51 tabs open in my browser and it slowed down my laptop some. (Ram, I gotta' get some more ram!)

Here are some of the results from the people that saw my posts:

  • I got a bunch of traffic to the sites - pic below of statcounter for that one site.
  • I generated 189.00 in revenue for the day and that is the first day and still in test mode and ONLY hitting 50 pages.
  • I got a whole slew of likes on my posts which kind of cracked me up.
  • I got a bunch of shares as well which was really cool to see.

I'll be testing all week long and once I iron things out I'll automate this process as much as possible using some of the tools that are out there.

Remember, I'm not even a ROOKIE at this sort of promotion and if I can make a decent buck at it you surely can.

this is very good info here man! i just started recently in the world of online digital marketing and was looking for ways to monetize. what you have done here it seems is that you have managed to use facebook to attract visitors to your website. By the way what is your website called? are you selling a product or service with affiliate links for your niche or just getting people to visit your site and hopefully click some of your google adsense ads? anyway a good post i'll be looking to try this later once i get more adept at making websites with good content.

We don't share the sites we own here, King, that is usually part of a recipe for diseaster as anyone can come along and cut into your exact methods.

I used CPA offers for the visitors to come to the site and I made the site look like a news site the way the post that Trepanated shared and instead of using a third part site, I used my own site so the only ads there were mine.

I'll be getting my checkbook out and send some royalties across the Atlantic to him any day now.

So you pretty much made a fake story, got the user to click, in your legit website you had links in the article and ads around the website that brought them to the offer cpa page? hmm

Also did you post on groups as a user or did you post as a fan page/product page? Thanks for the tips and thread man :D

I posted as a user; that is much more believeable I believe on FB.

I built a quickie news site using a WP theme and had a handful legit stories on there and then my "money article" so it does not look like some kind of hokey site. All the real stories were nothing but copied news articles of course.

CPA offer is in the story but also set up as regular looking ads on the site like you see on any generic news web site.

The thing that did not thrill me with the site that Trepanated shared is that there are other ads on those pages. It is a TERRIFIC share on his part, I just twisted it some to my liking and marketing thoughts.

I do something similar to this regularly with some old accounts that I have been using. Rotating accounts and links while maintaining or increasing the amount posted has kept me alive. As always, impeccable motivation here, Greg. :beach2:

Thanks for the reply, i wasnt sure if you took them to a landing page aka a presale page, with image a little text and the CTA buttons (you said you asked them to click 4-5 times) or if it was an actual story line with the product cpa offer inside the story as links like those classic diet landers ;). You the man!

Is it an email submit cpa offer? I'm thinking of using JVzoo or CB product.. let see how it goes.. thanks for the idea mate

Thanks, it is really nice that you share all this information , I have only one question where do u find CPA email submit offers , because for a noob like me it will be the easiest way to get started with CPA .
Thanks beforehand

Let us know how it works out and any little twists you do, PhiAvari.

Very informative post, i always stayed away from cpa and jsut recently setup a ogmobi account but they just offer mobile cpa offers.

@BassTrackerBoats: what cpa company do you use for that campaign, i would like to use the same?

Thanks in advance.

I wonder what AMs would have to say about this traffic. This method actually sounds very fun/engaging because your creativity can take over :)
Good stuff as always

Thanks for great share but I'm not sure if I understand it correctly - did you copy page from authority website with Clone Zone, put links to your money site and on your money site you have an article with CPA links? And on FB you post links to copied authority site right? If yes, how do you make them believable - do you short them or maybe use some domain to redirect - for example a typo domain?

Are you not afraid about any legal issues? I seems like a pure gold but I don't want to get into trouble:)

Thanks for help!

The offer asks for email and name which is not too intrusive if you presell them correctly. CB could be a nice twist to this.

Easiest way to get started is to sign up with any number of CPA companies and see what they have as to email submits. There are tons of them around and several right here on BHW that are reputable.

I actually have several different ones on the site so that things are spread out... not keeping all my eggs in one basket sort of thing.

The AMs knew pretty much what I was doing as I checked with them first. I believe that a good relationship with an AM is a HUGE plus when you are in our industry and, although I don't share my processes 100%, I give them a good enough of an idea to clear my traffic methods. You're right it is a little more fun than some of the things we do in our industry and knowing what little know about you, I'm sure you would do very well with this.

i'm not afraid of legal issues as I'm not breaking any laws or doing anything that is against any real TOS. Should I get a letter or email I'll deal with it but nothing at all will happen.

I used a Newspaper theme for a Word Press site on domains I bought. They are not typo domains; just regular domains with a name that would match the kinds of things I'm pushing.

I had articles on there that I copied and pasted + an article I slapped together and had CPA offers in the articles and in the sidebar.

I took the Clone Zone idea that Trepanated shared and eliminated Clone Zone as they have their own ads on the site that you create with them.

This all sounds great, but for the people like me that know nothing about facebook, and after looking at the facebook site and wanting nothing to do with that mess, where can we find a va that can take care of running these types of campaigns for us? PM if you know someone that handles this sort of thing for USA or Canada offers.
