Hey everyone,

I’m working on a crypto-based game and exploring different ways to bring in new users and players. One idea I had is to work with someone who can drive traffic (ads, influencers, SEO, etc.) and instead of paying upfront, I’d give them a percentage commission from every successful purchase/donation inside the game.

The project already has a built-in system that tracks revenue automatically. For example, if a partner drives traffic and one of those users makes a deposit or buys in-game tokens/items, the partner instantly earns their X% commission from that purchase. They can then withdraw it in crypto right away. This way, everything is transparent and automated on-chain.

Right now, donations are converted into the game’s internal currency. In the future, the plan is to list this currency as a token. If that happens, it would basically mean that the donations players make could come back to them in the form of tradable tokens. This part isn’t confirmed yet, but it’s an important direction we’re working toward to give even more value to early supporters.

My questions are:

  • Is this a realistic approach? Do people usually agree to such commission-only deals?
  • How do you make sure it’s sustainable and fair long-term?
  • Would it be smarter to just pay for traffic directly instead of commission-based?
  • Any platforms or best practices you’d recommend for tracking conversions in Web3/crypto?
Also, are there any people here already giving traffic for crypto games? I’d love to hear your experiences and maybe connect.

Thanks in advance!

Hey! Your project sounds amazing. Commission-only deals can work if the system is transparent, but some prefer guaranteed payment. Starting small with trusted partners and clear tracking is key. I’d love to hear more and connect!

we tested rev share on a small web3 game. pure commission pulled weak partners. what worked: tiny weekly floor plus on chain split for the first 90 days, then taper. track by wallet and day 7 spend, not just deposit. odd insight: paying on second buy cut bots fast

Thanks for sharing your experience, that’s super helpful. I get your point about pure rev share attracting weaker partners and how adding a small floor + tracking real spend helps filter out bots.

In our case, the idea is to bring in casino-type players - people who already love to spend, gamble, and play in Web3. This game is exactly that kind of environment: a mix of fun gameplay and the chance to get rewarded even higher in the future once the in-game currency is listed.

So basically, I’m not just looking for any traffic partners, but the ones who know how to reach players who:

  • enjoy Web3 games,
  • already spend in Web3 casinos,
  • and are looking for the next place to play and possibly profit long-term.
The challenge I see is finding those quality partners who actually have access to that type of audience. Do you think the same hybrid model (small floor + on-chain split) works for this niche too, or would high-quality casino traffic respond differently?

Yeah, I believe it would be an interesting model for this niche traffic teams
